2.  Obesity In The Context of Post-War Western Values

1.  FuelMix has long suspected that obese people, an obviously visible and rapidly growing demographic, are being targeted as part of a grand experiment in eugenics for profit. 

2.  To understand why FuelMix would make such a statement, it is necessary to bring some historical and social strands together. 

3.  Obesity in the western world - and spreading rapidly in emerging economies - and on such a scale, is a post-war phenomenon: a product of urbanization, industrialization, long working hours, stress and a convenience based, chemically saturated, fast-food, sedentary lifestyle. 

4.  Curiously, these were the "values" exported by God’s Own Country, which, at the end of World War 2 in 1945, was the only country on the planet with an economy still at full capacity. Europe was in shambles, Japan had been nuked. Asia was a wreck (having been attacked by the Japanese and turned into an unwilling Japanese colony during the War), China was a mess and largely impoverished (it wasn’t until 1949 that the Communists united the country), The former Soviet Union, now known as the Russian Federation, which was an important western ally against the Nazis (and which to date, had never been given the full credit it deserves in shattering the Nazi eastern advance) was beginning to consolidate its economy.  

5.  Post war reconstruction, particularly in Europe and Asia, was heavily dependent on the largesse and knowledge of God’s Own Country. The currency of God’s Own Country, became the world’s reserve currency. 

6.  The end of World War 2 was immediately followed by the creation of the Cold War - which was quite surprising since, as mentioned above, the former Soviet Union was instrumental in helping the West defeat the Nazis - and which was caught completely off guard when God's Own Country informed them that they were now the new enemy.  History will probably show that the alleged global threat of Communism was a ploy intended to keep the world in suspense and fear of nuclear annihilation.
