On 31 March 2017, FuelMix was given an exclusive tour of a brand new gay sauna located in Sheung Wan, which will formally open on Saturday, 8 April 2017. 

The financial backers are Hong Kong, Singaporean and Thai who are all longtime residents here. There are no Mainland Chinese investors as the financial backers refused to have them.

1.  Size

1.  The sauna which will be open 24 hours, is large and stylish.  It takes up 4 floors of a building.  2 of the floors are owned by the financial backers and 2 of the floors are rented. Each floor is about 9,000 square feet  making a total of about 36,000 square feet. When it formally opens next weekend, it will be larger than Hutong and better equipped.  We suspect it will be the biggest in Hong Kong and will become the flagship sauna.


2.  The Dark Area

1.  The Dark Area is fitted with a non-slip floor and discreet floor lighting to navigate it. There are several places in the Dark Area for group action.  The Dark Area actually takes up more than one floor.

2.  There are a large number of private rooms in the Dark Area.  Those located on the sides of the building, have windows that overlook the city.  This is the first time any sauna in Hong Kong has been able to do that.  In addition, each private room has a full length, floor-to-ceiling mirror on one wall, an adjustable porn screen, adjustable lighting as well as condoms, lubes and paper towels.

3.  Those readers who remember Towel Club will be pleased to know that each room is about that size and has a raised platform about 2 feet high with a vinyl mattress and vinyl pillows.  That means that customers will not have to lie on the floor like they do in other saunas around town.

4.  For the first time in Hong Kong, the Dark Area contains glory hole booths.  There is also a play area with slings and a rotating fuck table for gang bangs.


3.  The Wet Area

1.  The Wet Area is impressive and well lit with a non-slip slate floor.  There are 26 showers with adjustable nozzles from rain shower to jet.  Dispensers with organic soap, shampoo and conditioner are clearly marked in English and Chinese.  There are also wall-mounted silent Air Dryers that you can stand under and dry yourself.

2.  There is a dry sauna and a steam room.  Both are decent sized. There is no hot tub.

3.  Each toilet cubicle is well lit and each has a bidet plus an anal douche nozzle, plus a small shelf for storage.  Again, this is a first for Hong Kong.

4.  Adjacent to the toilets, showers and Locker Room is a well lit, vanity area with sinks, large wall-length mirror with good lighting, plus accessories like Dettol antiseptic soap, tissues, paper towels, ear-cleaning buds, organic body moisturizer, sealed toothbrushes and toothpaste.


4.  The Locker Room

1.   The Locker Room is a welcome surprise.  Unlike places like Action or Big Top or Jungle, it is very well lit and unlike Arena, it is spacious rather than claustrophobic.  The lockers have enough room for clothes, a backpack and a shelf for shoes.

2.  The lockers are all the same size. In other words, there is none of the frustration about getting a small locker where you have to stuff everything in.

3.  There are plenty of white, wide, faux-leather benches in the Locker Room to allow customers to undress and dress comfortably as well as lit full-length mirrors.  Customers can even use the Locker Room as an informal lounge.


5.  Lounge And Food Bar

1.  Done in minimalist chic, there is a sexy vibe to the main Lounge and Food Bar.

2.  The Food Bar Menu is being finalized but will include complimentary and paid items, including a Juice Bar.
