Farewell

Effective today, FuelMix has ended the blog.

1.  The Objectives 2006 - 2014

  • To create a niche publication that stood apart from Lamestream Gay Media;
  • To directly and intelligently confront all aspects of gay life;
  • To cut through decades of fog, complacency and an entrenched code of silence;
  • To strip the Politically Correct varnish inhibiting accurate perception, thought and language;
  • To provide an alternative context for the independently thinking gay man when conventional Faggotry was destroying gay men and its behavioural paradigms were collapsing;
  • To demonstrate that there were mental, emotional and behavioural differences between an independently thinking gay man and a fag.
We believe these objectives have been met.

2.  Administration

1.  For the forseeable future:
  • The blog will remain online;
  • Readers may comment on individual posts (subject to the Comment Protocols);
2.  The blog is protected by Copyright which vests in the person writing under the name "FuelMix".

3.  Any other person purporting to write on gay matters under the name "FuelMix" or "Fuel Injected Male" will be a fake.

4.  Notification on any aspect of this blog will first be given on this platform. You may wish to continue bookmarking the blog.

    3.  Acknowledgements

    1.  We thank those who contributed comments, personal experiences, sauna reviews, storylines and encouragement.  We appreciated your input and were always delighted to hear from you.

    2.  To those who hated everything we wrote, spewed abuse, accused us of homophobia, racism and other goodies, we bear you no malice.

    3.  To all our readers......thank you for opening your minds to a different possibility of thinking and being. That's all we wanted.

    4.  Farewell

    1.  Being gay is one of the hardest life experiences that we choose for ourselves. The fear, guilt, closeted terror, wild fluctuations in self-esteem, deciding when to come out and to whom, the pursuit of physical beauty,  the easy drugs, hedonism, intra-gay racism, shunning, ageism, broken relationships, illness,  the fear of being alone for life, shrieked at or coerced by Faggotry, is daunting at best and suicidal at worst.

    2.  Your personal journey as a courageous, questioning, independently thinking gay man will not be easy.  You are Kryptonite to the agenda-driven facilitators of Faggotry. They'll scream, threaten and abuse you once they realize you're leaving - or have already left - "the community".  Your gay "friends" might turn against you too.......You could end up alone for a while before meeting those resonating to a higher frequency of compatibility and awareness.

    3.  We never claimed to have the definitive answers. But we trust that our (not-so-humble) blog has armed you with a new compass of Emotional Intelligence and Perception.  You have the option of navigating out of a failing gay paradigm whilst thriving in a shifting and unstable world.

    4.  May you find the personal happiness and holistic empowerment that every gay man so richly deserves after the hell that Faggotry put them through.

    Sincerely
    FuelMix

      Yet I understand and am glad you are keeping it online.

      I do not know who people are going to go to when they need some reality.....

      At least you have some damn good shit in there that can be referenced.

      Love you!

      My Dear Fuel Mix:
      I read that you have decided to end your blog, that is, you'll keep it up and running -but you will not be posting anymore.

      I think you've said much that most would not do so publicly. You've also validated the perspective held by many of us.

      So, thank you!..... and be well always.

      Awww....
      All good things must come to an end ... supposedly ....
      Kind of strange ... but ... miss You!

      Dear FuelMix,

      I wanted to write to say thank you for critique, satire, illumination and entertainment you have delivered via your blog in the past years. Many of your posts have resonated. I have meant to write to you for some time to express my appreciation.

      You have a great gift for recognizing life's ironies and for expression. I hope that whatever comes next in your career allows you to continue writing. If we meet in the future in person or if indeed we already have - and perhaps this would be the case given HK's insularity - I hope I won't be too mercilessly sent up in a future pastiche.

      With best of luck for the future.

      FuelMix,

      Just checked in on your blog after an extended time in China with a lot of work on my plate and not a lot of recreational reading. I'm sorry to see you wind down your blog but fully understand. You've provided a wonderful service to your readers; I must have recommended your work to a couple dozen people on this last work stint, many of whom in my opinion were making poor choices.

      I hope perhaps you will continue your financial analysis on another blog? If so please let me know.

      Best to you sir!

      FuelMix:

      I wanted to take a moment to reach out. Earlier this week, I noticed that you had made the decision to cease Fuel-Injected Male in blog format.

      I was very sorry to learn this news; as you know, I have been a follower of the blog and an admirer of your writing for many years.

      But, I can certainly appreciate the need to redirect one's energies as the fluid priorities of life can dictate. I can also appreciate the fact that, from your perspective, the blog may have come full-circle and served its intended purpose.

      Please know that, from my perspective, your efforts HAVE served a significant purpose for a great many gay men on a global level. You have identified and articulated the fundamental tenets of urban gay life that are unsustainable - the tenets that can divide, marginalize, deceive and ultimately kill us - and courageously demonstrated an alternative way to be.

      You have created a new and important paradigm for those brave enough to commit to it, and live it, every day of their lives

      Your voice is prescient, insightful, entirely unique and entirely timely and topical. I am grateful to have been fundamentally changed by it.

      Be well, FuelMix, and be proud of what you have accomplished.

      With respect,

      It's a shame you stopped the blog. One of the best there is I've seen.

      I love your blog and I think it will stand the test of time. You had a very good process about it that told people the truth even if they didn't want to realize it at the time.
