As FuelMix left Alexander late on a Monday evening - not having been there for 3 months - a chink customer entered the tiny cramped Reception area.  As the door closed behind FuelMix, he distinctly heard the staff behind the counter say to the chink in Mandarin, "yi bai kuai" i.e. One Hundred Dollars.

Huh...?  $100 dollars....? Why was FuelMix charged $130.00 even with his card that has the date stamps of his visits there?

FuelMix stood outside at the top of the stairs, in an awkward situation.  Should he kick the door down and confront the staff ?  It would be too easy for the staff  to deny it, say that the door was already closed and FuelMix misheard it.  

FuelMix decided to put his thoughts on the blog and present both sides of the coin. 

So......is one of the most popular gay saunas in town secretly running a Two - Tier pricing policy based on race.....??   Are they deliberately milking foreign residents, white guys and tourists by charging them 30% more......??  Is that why the Reception area is so small that only 1 person can fit in at a time?  

To be fair, there could be several reasons for the price FuelMix is adamant he heard quoted to the chink and the price he paid:

• That customer was a VIP...?  Sounds odd as he was very average looking and FuelMix has not heard of Alexander operating a VIP policy;
• That customer had a Discount Card.  Again that sounds odd because there's no shortage of people streaming into the place, FuelMix has not recently heard of Alexander having Time Sensitive Discount Cards (unlike ABC which is part of the same group) and the entire group of 4 saunas hands out a 6 Visit Stamp Card with the 7th visit free to any one of them;
• There's a reduced entry free from midnight.  But FuelMix has neither heard of it nor seen it on the website;  

What makes it baffling is that several weeks ago, a reader complained to FuelMix alleging that at least one gay sauna in Very Rich Megacity had different pricing for GAMs and foreigners.  FuelMix didn't publish the e-mail because he thought it was too vague.  

At this point in time, FuelMix doesn't know what to think. He's keeping an open mind because Alexander is a fun place, but he is unsettled.
