4.  Who Are The Nice Men Getting Infected via Smartphone Apps...?

1.   Asian-Americans huh....?   Gee, how about that....?  At first glance that seems surprising, but it actually makes perfect sense.  We're gonna stick our cock out on this one and be controversial because we think we're right....

2.   Having lived on the West Coast, we saw no shortage of over-achieving Asian-American fags with stellar academic and professional backgrounds - plus the obligatory nasal twang. But what we also noticed was that these same Asian-Americans were desperately trying to be "white".  It wasn't so much shunning their ethnic identity (although there was some of that), but rather an over compensation for the fact that they didn't physically resemble the California Surfer Dude or the Varsity Jock, or that (artificially) bronzed,  muscled porn star peddled by Falcon, Colt, Huge or Catalina - or that the whites universally assumed them to be slant-eyed bottoms and /or avoided them in the saunas (you know that white shit about "preference" right....?) even though the Asian-Americans were running after them.

3.   It was these Asian-American fags who loaded themselves to the gills with Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, American Eagle, wore backward facing baseball caps, chewed gum, acted like unwashed frat boys, tried getting drunk at Spring Break and showing their ass for Instagram, uploaded their jack-off videos - anything to be taken as "white" and subsequently, as a "white" fag.

4.   Yeah, yeah we know.....the "melting pot" culture....but consider this.....once an over-compensating Asian-American makes that transition from "white" to "white" fag and is on the way to getting the acceptance and white cock that he craves, he gets the optional extras as well......ecstasy, cocaine, poppers, after parties, circuit parties, Craigslist, Grindr.

5.   Having spent years trying to be "white" and then a "white" fag, the Asian-American finally gets his reward.....Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, courtesy of the latest gay hookup app he read about on his Facebook wall.  He's now officially "white".

6.   In Principles of Faggotry 32 we said:

"A dumb fag with a smart phone is a dangerous combination."

7.   Too cynical for you....? Like we said, we think we're right.  In fact, we'll go further and state that we expect gay Asian-American disease rates to rise markedly - notwithstanding higher education levels and disposable incomes. (and because of something else that nobody is talking about.....more Asian-Americans showing up in US made gay porn).


5.  The Paradox of Risk

(a) Take Your P(r)ick

1.  We find it interesting that whilst the hookup apps appear to be facilitating an increase in Chlamydia and Gonorrhea amongst gay men, the article quoted above specifically states:

"The method of finding sexual partners had no effect on the risk of being infected with syphilis or HIV, the virus that causes AIDS..."

2.  Earlier in this blog, we'd noted the emergence of Super-Gonorrhea which was resistant to all known antibiotics.  At the same time, we observed the hoopla concerning drugs by which HIV could be "controlled" or "managed".

3.  From our point of view, gay men appear to be presented with a risk trade-off:  Super-Gonorrhea vs HIV.  We wonder to what extent this trade-off results in gay men having a misplaced faith in their own actions and the apparent availability of remedial medication.  If their sexual decisions are that sound, why are infection rates increasing....?.....and across ALL ethnic groups....?


(b)  Offloading The Risk Onto Others 

4.  We suspect that infection rates are increasing because gay men are making their sexual decisions in high-risk settings e.g. functionally impaired via drug use.  In Part 1, we highlighted the 4 main risk factors:

1. Faster Hookups;
2. Anonymous (Casual);
3. Risky Sexual Behaviour;
4. Higher Likelihood of Getting Certain types of STD; 

5.  Throw in Boredom, Thrill Seeking and the Bi-Curious and what the the hookup apps are doing is merely converging the risk factors in the palm of your hand. 

6.  An article by Charles Hugh Smith dated 2 October 2015, written in a financial context, entitled The Dangerous Illusion That Risk Can Be Offloaded To Others provides an apt analogy as to what gay men are doing with their health. 

7.  To quote Smith's point, the real danger arises when a person is reassured by "safety" features (e.g. "I'll be wearing a condom to fuck") AND past experience which appear to limit risk or make it disappear ("There's an antibiotic for that and an HIV drug for that and anyways,  I haven't been infected yet").

8.  Smith correctly states:

"The more risk is apparently lowered, the higher the risk we are willing to accept."

9.  And that dear reader, brings us back to the hookup apps.  The more the risk of apparent failure to get a hookup is reduced ("Grindr et al is soooo much more effective and quicker than Craigslist right....?") PLUS the apparent availability of prescription medication, complacency and reassurance kick in and the fag willingly takes on a higher risk.
