From Grindr To Gonorrhea.....? 1

1.   Grindr, Tinder et al.....Who's To Blame..?

A new billboard has lots of folks in Los Angeles buzzing about sex, safe sex, online hookups and apps.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation is taking the popular online dating apps Tinder and Grindr to task — suggesting their users are more susceptible to STD’s like chlamydia and gonorrhea.

2.   They May Be Right

1.   The AIDS people maybe right.....if you make it easy for gays to hookup in real time with GPS, upload a (dick and bod) pic, spit a few lines, say you're chem friendly and popper friendly, arrange a hookup and suck/fuck, the inevitable result will be you'll get more of what gay men are historically and internationally notorious for...... incrementally suicidal fuckups.......that have them lining up at Fagland's STD clinics, simmering with resentment, attempting a bargain with God ("Please don't let me die, don't let me be HIV+, don't let me get AIDS, don't let me get sterile and I promise I'll reduce my drug use, my popper use, my porn watching, my Grindr use, my Tinder use, I'll give away my toys.....") or spewing accusatory venom at the ex-Grindr hookup ("You fuckin' infected me...!!")

2.   Jeez.....FuelMix had been saying this for nearly 15 years - well before Craigslist started putting the STD warnings on its hookup pages. Predictably, the Politically Correct patsies for Faggotry claimed FuelMix was being homophobic and that gay men were not that stupid.

3.   Maybe not stupid, but certainly reckless, impulsive, drug-fucked, functionally-impaired, impatient, negligent and easily addicted to online hookups (in addition to their other "recreational" addictions).

3.   Blame vs. Facilitation

1.   By fingering the Apps, however well meaning the AIDS people might be, the message is slightly ambiguous:  are they equating Blame with Facilitation....or showing the link between Blame and Facilitation....?  We think they are showing the link between Blame and Facilitation.  And there's nothing wrong with that.

2.   Allegations that gay hookup apps are linked to the rise of certain STDs are not new.  They started making the news over 3 years ago.  Have a look at this for example (underlining and bold print by FuelMix):
"Gay men who use smartphone apps such as Grindr or Scruff to find sexual partners are more likely to acquire certain sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) than if they meet partners in bars or clubs, a new study suggests.

The research was led by Matthew Beymer of the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center, Los Angeles, and included nearly 7,200 local gay and "bi-curious" men. All of the men were tested for STDs and provided information about how they found their sexual partners.

Smartphone apps such as Grindr, Scruff or Recon are designed to make it easier for gay men to meet potential partners more quickly. According to background material provided in the study, Grindr, one of the first gay male "hook-up" apps, garnered 2.5 million new users in 2012, and by 2013 its makers said that Grindr had 6 million users in 192 countries worldwide.

However, the authors of the new study say the use of these technologies may raise the chances of anonymous and risky sexual encounters and the likelihood of getting an STD."

3.   Note the 4 main risk factors:
  1. Faster Hookups;
  2. Anonymous (Casual);
  3. Risky Sexual Behaviour;
  4. Higher Likelihood of Getting Certain types of STD;

4.   Here's more from the same article quoted above:
In the new study, about a third (34 percent) of the Los Angeles men said they only met prospective partners in person at a bar or club, for example. Another 30 percent said they used a combination of person-to-person or online dating, while 36 percent used only smartphone apps or the apps plus other methods.

Compared to other men in the study, those who used smartphone apps to find sex were 35 percent more likely to be infected with chlamydia and 23 percent more likely to be infected with gonorrhea, the researchers found.

The method of finding sexual partners had no effect on the risk of being infected with syphilis or HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, however.

5.   Did you get that fags....?  It appears that those fags using apps for hookups are at higher risk of contracting Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.  Go back and look at that billboard at the top of this post......makes sense now yes....?
