"Sodomy-Based" Marriage

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more absurd, 2 veteran (they've been at it more than 20 years) anti-gay activists in (.....where else....?) God's Own Country, are spearheading yet another Right Wing Christian initiative against gay marriage.

It's via a Pledge that all these nice people are being asked to sign.  The conceptual basis of the Pledge is that there is no intrinsic or natural right for 2 men to marry. In other words, marriage can only be defined as a union between a man and a woman. Therefore advocates of gay marriage are demanding "special rights" which should be rejected by all god-abiding citizens.  

Further, since marriage can only be between a man and a woman, the terms, "gay marriage" and "same sex marriage" are contradictory, illogical and deceptive.  Signatories of the Pledge are instead asked to use the term, "Sodomy-Based Marriage".

Are Gays Demanding "Special Rights"?

At some level, FuelMix agrees with that one.  Historically gays got their identity, behaviour and political profile by deliberately being a brazen and outlawed sub-culture. Over the last few years there's been an orchestrated attempt to portray gays as "regular people".  FuelMix wrote about this phenomenon in Gay Pop Fade Out 2 dated 15 March 2012, where he said:

"Think about it. AIDS had killed gays since the early 80s. Gays were despised and discriminated against. The Right-Wing Morality Milita had a 20 year field day in vilification. Something had to be done to rehabilitate the image of gay men. Tons of money poured into the media to repackage and reinvent the gay man as a potential male supermodel, or the cute guy next door living in a quirky sub-culture of fuckable gym bunnies, or the sensitive cafe going type, or the high net worth power of the Pink Dollar. Muscle, Masculinity, Money and Sensitivity. Worked brilliantly."

This was a highly manipulated insinuation into the mainstream consciousness.  Once this was done, it was time for Stage 2:

"Gay Mafia / Gay Media, having rammed faggotry down people's throats, moved to Stage 2 - the enforced Politcial Correctness of Gayness. Again, think about it. In certain countries in the West, one can hardly say anything about gays without looking over one's shoulder. There's no shortage of gay "activists, " advocacy groups", "media watchdogs", "employment monitors" (i.e. whose the most gay friendly company to work for...?) "government lobbyists", "political fundraisers" blah blah blah. In 50 years, gays have morphed from a culture of defiant creation to a culture of political sycophants and suppression - both of themselves and the population at large. It's stunning to observe the near-universal outwardly Liberal leanings of these groups, combined with an entitlement mentality, near-Fascist zeal to outlaw candid expression and enquiry. 

It's not surprising that homophobia might be on the rise in mainstream society......"

 Interestingly, the Pledge mentioned above says this:

"Inform voters that the homosexual rights movement deceptively claims to work for equality and fairness while at the same time oppressing, silencing and persecuting those who hold religious or moral objections to homosexuality."

Wow....!! FuelMix is no fan of any religious dogma, but has to say in the light of what he wrote above, these guys almost got it right. Had they removed the words "religious" and "moral", they would have been bang on.  

Here's why....... In Understanding Absurdity, 8 December 2011, FuelMix stated there were 2 major social shifts going on: First, Societal Polarization and second, Transformative Thought And Action.  Gays are caught in a paradox.  They claim to be a distinct sub-culture screaming that their rights should be protected, while demanding the rights of the Average Joe and Mary on the basis of "equality"?  Can you blame Joe and Mary for perceiving gays as a tad greedy?  

And do gays help their case by their flaming ultra-sensitivity, their screaming overreactions, the enforced behaviour of word and action, their institutionalized censorship of criticism and analysis?  Nope.  How can it be "equal" when a minority is foisting this type of political correctness on the mainstream society that they opted out of and are now attempting to control?  

It  is such a farce on both sides since it apparently precludes the existence of what Stephen Covey calls, The Third Alternative and which FuelMix maintains should be Civil Union for gays.  The concept of mainstream societal merger while being distinct is achieved, the religious fanatics get to keep their "marriage" - which is crumbling anyways - everybody shuts up.  Separate But Equal.

And you know what else.....? With "marriage" crumbling, FuelMix suspects more str8s would enter into Civil Unions.

"Gay Marriage" and "Same Sex Marriage" Contradictory Terms ?

OK.....what about the allegation that "gay marriage" and "same sex marriage" are contradictory terms? If one is a Right Wing  Christian, then yeah.......they are contradictory.  If one isn't blinded by religious dogma, the allegation is a crock. 

FuelMix has said this before - dump gay marriage, stick to Civil Union.  The whole concept of "marriage" is so infused with the religious morality dogma, that even if gays get it worldwide, they'll never be at peace with it.  They'll be under constant attack from the Morality Militia.  

FuelMix would not be surprised if both the religious and gay sides of the argument were  being manipulated by the World Managment Team as part of an Hegelian Dialect to achieve an orchestrated result - which would inevitably mean greater societal control and less individual freedom.

"Sodomy Based Marriage"?

So.....what about calling it "Sodomy Based Marriage" ?  FuelMix says only if heteros agree to rename their relationship  a "Vagina Based Marriage".  And while they're at it, maybe the Pledge should be amended specifically banning hetero Christian signatories from having anal sex. It's no secret that heteros get turned on watching hetero anal porn too.

Curiously, the Pledge makes no mention of Monogamy or an obligation on the signatory to remain exclusively heterosexual.  Thank god..........as the many heteroflexible blog readers who've read The Vow and Yeah I'm Straight will testify..........
