Love Hotels

A reader sent in this request today (slightly edited for clarity):

Hey FuelMix
I got this buddy and he wants to show me a good time !! Problem is we both are stuck at home and cannot host !!
Despite the wide variety of saunas in HKG, my friend doesn't want to go.  Are there any gay-friendly love hotels or other establishments in this city that you know of?

FuelMix has not personally tried the Love Hotels but there are several of them around town.  He hears from GAMs that there are some gay-friendly ones in Kowloon around Jordan - sort of in the Shanghai Street, Temple Street areas.  They are very popular with GAMs who pick up the hot studly Pakistani guys around Jordan, Tsim Sha Tsui and Sham Shui Po.  Approximate cost is HK$200.00 for 2 hours in a small, basic private room with a toilet and shower.

The term "gay-friendly" needs some clarification in relation to these Love Hotels.  They don't go out of their way to advertise to a gay clientele, but they won't turn 2 guys away either.  The ones in Jordan are apparently well used to seeing 2 guys check in.

Park Excellent Hotel - (a trusty Wanchai spot with affordable rates for 2 hours - and there's a minibar in every room) 275 Hennessy Road, Wanchai

Romantic Hotel - (the most iconic of the Kowloon Tong Love Hotels, this was a hotspot in the 1980s for celebrities and the well-to-do who needed little "down time".  One of the few institutions left as the area turns into a Kindergarten hub) 7 Kent Road, Kowloon Tong
