A reader sent in this update on Towel Club's Thursdays Beefcake Nite :

Hi, gwailo here....showed up on Thursday evening around 6:30pm to check out the Beefcake Nite.  Lots of guys there - about 40, many of them buffed and very muscular. Mostly GAMs, but a few built foreigners there too.

The Dark Room area was crowded, but for the longest time, nothing happened. Everyone was propped up against the walls standing and modeling. Lots of attitude.  There wasn't a sound, just eerie silence. It was kinda weird since there was no shortage of hot guys there.  By about 10pm, the place emptied out en masse.  Best as I can tell, the majority of the guys ( me included) didn't get any action - but they looked good standing there.

Not sure what to make of their Beefcake Nites.  They're certainly well attended but what's the point of  paying 98 bucks and just standing there?


FuelMix says:  perhaps all that working out in the gym to look good for Beefcake Nite had made them tired and they needed some support from the wall..........yeah Stand & Model is the silent killer of naked fun and fags have perfected it to a fine art - as much as they ache inside for bump and grind.  It's just another example of fag hypocrisy.  Who else do you know who would throw money to do nothing?


See the previous reviews of Towel Club and you'll see that FuelMix has experienced both frustration and mind-blowing gratification there. A gay sauna is like a casino - you put down the cash and take your chances.  Said this before but it's worth repeating : since the clientele come in waves, there's no telling what the next High Tide will bring.  Completely empathize.  Thanks for writing in.
