Hi FM:

We travel to Hong Kong once every year or two and have benefited greatly from your candid reviews over the years, so we thought we'd contribute by sharing our observations from our recent visits to two establishments [FM: Jungle and Hutong] both in January 2018.

1.  Context

We are two guys from Canada, one white one Chinese, both tall slim gym-fit hung early 30s passable as mid 20s. Our preference are guys around our age and younger, generally go for gym fit or slender, welcome action with any race as long as they are cute. Our assessment is provided through that lens.

Wanted to check out Hutong as we were advised that it is the largest sauna in HK and the one sauna that most resembles the legendary Double (and I guess Towel Club, though that was before our time).  We went on a Saturday afternoon, around 4pm.

2.  Getting There and Entry

Hutong is on Shanghai Street, which is three blocks in from Nathan Road, just a couple minutes from Mong Kok MTR. The building's Ground Floor on Shanghai Street are all store fronts for home renovation shops. The entrance to the building is actually on Fife Street (which is a street market), where Hutong has its own discreetly marked buzzer at the door.

Once inside, just follow the clearly displayed signs up two flights of (fairly old and decrepit looking) stairs. The admission process is quite hassle free. Front desk staff collected our money without saying a word, gave us our keys along with a large and a small tower each, and sent us on our way.

3.  Facilities / Layout

Hutong's decor is uber-modern /sleek / minimalist-stylish. The venue is split into two floors.  The lockers / lounge area are on the same floor as the reception/entrance, while the play area is one floor down.

Once past the reception area, there are two spacious changing rooms (good location to discreetly size some guys up) with lockers. There are three lockers per column, so each locker is not that big (not long enough to hang dress clothes).

There is a fairly large TV lounge, a small cafe/dining area, a living area with tables, and a shower/washroom area. There is also a sleeping area with bunks, which we found a bit odd, but there are certainly quite a few guys sleeping/cuddling there. There are more showers downstairs, along with the sauna rooms, and a large hot-tub.

4.  Cruising Area

Hutong's play area/maze is one of the largest, if not the largest, we have been to in the city. When we first got there a portion of it was closed off, but the entire maze (or what I believe to be the entire maze) was open later. Presumably on a less busy day a good chunk of it would be inaccessible.

One is required to be nude in the cruising area so there are two long hallways of towel hooks as you enter (though the hook system quickly falls apart on a busy day, as your towel would rarely still be there, so inevitably everyone is picking up someone else's damp towel).

True to its names, there are many  "hutongs" (passageways) to explore. In some of the passageways, there are strategically placed tea lights so you can check out the guys that walk by. Some of the passageways are however pitch-black, where your hands are your guide.

There are perhaps 15 ~ 20 private playrooms, each stock with plenty of condoms and equipped with lube dispensers. Deep in the maze there is a fuck bench in an open room (somewhat lit) for exhibitionists (though I did not see it used), and another open and mostly dark room with a large bed (where I saw, or at least heard, group action taking place).

You can often see attendants in the maze diligently cleaning up (sometimes too diligent... at one point an attendant was meticulously wiping down every surface of a room while clearly aware that some hot guy and I were anxiously waiting to get in).

5.  Crowd Demographics

On the Saturday afternoon we visited, the place was hopping. I are fairly certain there were over 100 guys in there.  Vast majority of the guys are in decent shape, some slim/slender, some gym-fit, and some bigger muscle built. There were a handful of out-of-shape guys, but not too many. Age ranges from youngsters in their 20s to sexy silver foxes in their 40s, plus a few not-so-sexy older guys. There were maybe three or four ex-pats/tourists, though only one of them would be considered hot.

As some others have noted, there are a good number of mainland'er/Mandarin speakers. However, we found them sexy/charming/well-behaved just like the locals, not in any way unseemly or annoying. There was never a shortage of guys walking around the maze area looking for action.

6.  Crowd Interaction

With many guys to choose from, there is certainly much action to be had. I found a hot young slender guy pretty much right off the bat and pounded him to oblivion for half an hour. After that I enjoyed myself with a few more guys, never taking more than a few minutes to land the next lay. As a committed versatile it was a pretty gratifying experience, as I found both willing bottoms who
could take it like a champ, and hung tops who know how to drill hard.  The place is so busy at times we had trouble finding available private  rooms to go to, so clearly the place was "active".

7.  Crowd Attitude

There is certainly a fair bit of standing-&-modeling in the hallways. Though with such a large crowd, it was not difficult to find hot guys to go to the mat (literally) with. While a few guys carry their arrogant attitude around, I would say the guys have their attitude in check, generally friendly and looking to get down to business.

We did came across a few guys that were excessively aggressive lurking in the pitch-black area. At one point someone literally tried to drag me off to a corner after I declined his initial advance, and I had to loudly told him to bugger off. Isolated incidences, I hope. Overall, I found the experience with Hutong quite exhilarating.  The decor is stylish and seductive and puts one in the right mood for the activities.  But its main attractions are surely its vast size and the reliable supply of decent looking guys.

FuelMix says: Thanks for the review.  It confirms what we were hearing that a wider age range and body type is showing up there.
