FuelMix's updated review...... 

Woohoo...!! 10 months after last visiting this joint (when it was still Hunter),  and strictly on a journalistic mission, you understand, FuelMix showed up at the Reception Desk on a weekday afternoon of Jungle Sauna (which now consists of 2 saunas under the same management - the other being MyWay in Causeway Bay).

Paying HK$150.00 to get in seems way too steep.  All other price promotions were in Chinese.  Good luck getting the staff to explain them in English.

Unlike MyWay, Jungle is open 24 hours and FuelMix arrived around 4:30pm.  There were about 10 GAMs there in their 20s and early 30s.


1.   The Decor And Ambience 

Generally the same, with a down-market touch to it. The living room/ TV lounge has a bold poster on the wall, proclaiming that this is now Jungle Sauna. Cosmetic changes via a new sofa and additional bench seating. The bananas and the magazines are still there.  Not as horribly cluttered as MyWay - yet.


Taking a leaf out of Alexander's book, Jungle now offers free ice cream. The freezer is next to the Reception Desk and there are reminder notices on the 2 computer screens in the TV lounge.


2.   The Locker Room

Mercifully brighter than it was whilst Hunter, but only because they turned up the dimmers.  The elevated flat screen still plays noisy Jap gay porn with barely legal aged twinks. Remember that. Twinks are the preferred clientele of Jungle Sauna (even when it was Hunter).


3.   The Showers

The semi-private one, where showering with a buddy was the idea, has gone. Stupidly, so FuelMix thinks.



4.   The Sauna and The Steam Room

The first obviously visible change is the removal of the infra-red, large dry sauna with a huge flat screen TV in it.  This was one of the selling points of Hunter.  The space has been split into 2. One is a narrow dry sauna, the other is a small square steam room, about the size of that in Central Escalator. Heat levels in both are adequate.


5.  The Dark Room

This is the second obviously visible change.  The maze has been completely redesigned (by FuelMix's calculations for the third time - twice when it was Hunter and now as Jungle).

In short, it is much more of a maze now than it ever was.  And kinda fun to navigate, with narrow spaces, dead end alcoves and open areas.

There are 11 private rooms, with new mattresses, pillows and sensibly placed light switches i.e. near the door.  In addition to the usual condiments ( paper towel dispenser, condoms, lube), all private rooms have mirrors. (They didn't have mirrors when it was Hunter).

Mention should be made of a large playspace at the end of the maze. This has a porn screen, mattress and pillows.  It could easily fit 10 or 12 people and there was some group action going on when FuelMix dropped in.


6.  The Clientele

1.   If FuelMix was being charitable, he would say they were mainly Young Fags In Training.

2.   If FuelMix was not being charitable, he would say they were mainly Slant Eyed Attitudinal Fuckettes With a Propensity to Chain Smoke.

3.   Put it this way.....this is a place for twinks, college boys, skinny-slims, gymfit, muscle boys and muscle guys

4.   This is NOT a place for bears, chubs and fatties - of any age.

5.   If you're not a twink, but - at whatever age - you possess a muscled bod that can turn heads and attract attention, you'll fit right in.  FuelMix saw GAM guys estimated to be in their 30s and some a little older, who had good muscled bods.

6.  Do they come streaming through the door....?  By way of comparison.....the respective clientele of Alexander,  Big Top and Galaxy come streaming through the door every few minutes.  In Jungle, whilst there is no doubt this is (predominantly) "Young-Fag-Central", it takes a little longer for them to arrive (what with school and homework and maybe that part-time job so they can buy cigarettes and Abercrombie & Fitch underwear).  But they do show up and the place fills up steadily.

7.   Jungle is a GAM-centric place. Probably more so, now that it's part of MyWay - which is notorious for attitudinal chink twinks and then some. There's tons of attitude in Jungle, lots of twinks going "*tsk*", "*tsk*" ,lots of head swiveling, lots of twinks and others with sour facial expressions practicing what can only be described as "Rejection Mode".

8.   Did FuelMix get action......? Of course. Not to brag. But..... when you've got a hot bod and don't put up with shit, crushing an attitudinal gym-fit twink who was in Rejection Mode and leaving him as a sweaty, whimpering, cum-swallowing faggot (who will have to explain his dazed look to Mom and Dad), is easy - and worth the steep HK$150.00 entry fee.  It also serves as a warning and wake-up call to complacent GAMs that foreigners can rock.
