Hello FuelMix,

In case you or your readers weren't aware, Alexander has upped its general admission rate to HK$150 per entry. Don't know how long the new rate's been in place but it must be recent as I visited last week and paid HK$130. Didn't have a chance to ask why the increase (too busy having fun and stayed 12 hours - they still let customers stay 12 hours without paying extra). Clientele seem the same as before. Mix of ages and every body type but predominantly local Chinese in their 30s and 40s. Could be interesting to see if or how other HK saunas respond.

Alexander's age ranges have been climbing for sometime, both GAMs and GWMs.  Nothing wrong with that - except that these older chinks are adopting the attitudinal posturing of twinks, which ends up being pathetically funny. 

Also, a ton of Mainland Chinese are showing up there - apparently they like the "luxury" ambience.  If they would only stop pissing in the Steam Room and learn to flush toilets, perhaps FuelMix would be inclined to agree.  As it stands, the fascinated reader can thank them - and the local chain-smoking chinks -  for creating an ambience in the Wet Area that occasionally goes all the way to EEEEEEEWWWWwww.

Since Alexander is part of a group  that also consists of ABC, Action and Gateway,  one has to ask whether the group have raised their prices?  Are they worth the increased prices?  ABC notorious for Stand And Model Attitude; Action which by the Staff's own admission is only interesting on Saturday afternoons; and Gateway which has a long-standing reputation for boredom.............?

With an economic slowdown on the horizon, is raising sauna admission prices the best idea? 

There's no shortage of alternative venues in that area.  And FuelMix hears that hot guys are showing up at Big Top and Club Houzz.
