I’m going to a Hong Kong gay sauna for the first time.  Do I have to pay tips to the staff and attendants?

No.  If any staff in a Hong Kong gay sauna demanded tips from a customer, that would be a criminal offence.

In gay saunas in the West, FuelMix has seen tip jars strategically positioned on the Reception Desks, near vending machines and the food counter.   It’s another one of these guilt trips for which white man is famous.

As western economies continue to unravel into a downward spiral, (with the possible exception of Australia and Canada), demands for tips across the retail service sector will become more aggressive, verging on panhandling.
