Bermuda Reverses Gay Marriage

1.  .....and instead, will allow any Bermudian to enter into Domestic Partnership, which the government says will offer equal rights.

2.  It became the first country in the world to reverse a law allowing same-sex marriage.

3.  This is very interesting.

4.  In 2017, the Supreme Court of Bermuda authorized same-sex marriage.  It was a highly controversial decision in the wealthy, but socially conservative island, (whose status is that of a British Overseas Territory) with a population of about 60,000 and in which the christian church wields considerable political influence. It is estimated that 2 out of 3 people in Bermuda are active christians.  Thousands protested outside the Bermudian Parliament after the Supreme Court's decision.

5.  We wondered at that time, how long the Supreme Court's decision would last.  We knew from our professional dealings that Bermudians are no pushovers - and neither are they politically correct.

6.  According to Reuters, in the 9 months since it became legal, about a dozen same-sex marriages took place in Bermuda and on cruise ships registered in the territory.

7.  And then....in February 2018, the Governor of Bermuda reversed the Supreme Court ruling and gave his assent to the Domestic Partnership Act.  We'll quote Mr Walton Brown, Bermuda's Minister of Home Affairs whose ruling PLP Party proposed the Act:

"The British Government recognizes that this is a local government decision [Bermuda Government]. [The Act struck a compromise by] "restating that marriage must be between a male and a female, while at the same time recognizing and protecting the rights of same sex couples."

-----"Bermuda governor approves bill reversing same-sex marriage rights", Reuters, February 8, 2018

8.  Needless to say, politically correct, conventional faggotry is screeching in disbelief, shock and horror.

9.  They shouldn't be.  We've said several times in this blog that whilst we support same-sex (preferably monogamous) relationships, entering into "Marriage" is not the answer because it is so tainted with moral and religious overtones.  Entering into "Marriage" means that same sex couples will always be in a state of civil war with the Morality Militia.

10. We've said several times that Civil Union (or Domestic Partnerships) is the way to go.  In other words, a separate but equal system of comprehensive rights over which the Morality Militia has no jurisdiction.

11. Back in 2012 we said this in our post, That 'M' Word:

And ya know that for the longest time, FuelMix has been saying that Civil Union not marriage is the way to go.....? Because separate but equal is the only way to avoid the trap of the religious Morality Militia?

Heh Heh Heh.......well fags, the highly acclaimed British (gay) actor, Sir Derek Jacobi (probably best known for his title role in the BBC TV drama series, I, Claudius) agrees.  To wit:
"He agreed with interviewer Nigel Farndale’s suggestion that because civil partnerships and marriages afford almost identical legal rights, he might view the debate as a “fuss about nothing”.
He replied: “Exactly, it’s just this word. [marriage] The Church is the problem.”" (emphasis added)
--------Sir Derek Jacobi: Equal marriage debate a "squabble over nothing", Pink News 3 July 2012

It seems the Government of Bermuda also agrees with FuelMix.  We applaud their pragmatic decision.

We should point out that some lawyers in Bermuda are thinking of bringing a constitutional challenge to the new law. We'll see how this plays out.

No Cake For You..!!

1.  Facts
2.  Faggotry Got It Wrong (As Usual)
3.  Every Business Discriminates
4.  Gay Business Discriminate Against Gay Customers
5.  Real Issue:  Freedom Of Association
6.  Faggotry Just Makes Things Worse

1.  Facts

1.  A heterosexual baker in God's Own Country was the the subject of lengthy proceedings when, citing his religious beliefs, he refused to bake a cake for a gay couple.

2.  The gay couple whined.

3.  Up and down the legal system it went, before ending up at the Supreme Court in Washington DC who recently gave a final ruling that the baker was entitled to refuse to bake a cake and that his personal beliefs had to be respected.

2.  Faggotry Got It Wrong (As Usual)

1.  Faggotry screeched it was a backward step, disrespected gay marriage and was discriminatory.

2.  FuelMix says Faggotry is wrong.

3.  Every Business Discriminates

1.  It's not about Faggotry's assertions of bigotry.  It was about the ability of a business owner to conduct their business as they see fit.

2.  Despite the laws, guidelines and Politically Correct Sensitivity Training about non-discrimination, guess what...?  All businesses whether walk-in retail or professional service ones like lawyers, accountants, advertising agencies discriminate every day.  Every business has an official or unofficial ranking of:

  • its favourite clients;
  • its VIP clients;
  • its long-standing clients especially those who supported it from Day 1;
  • clients referred by existing clients;
  • argumentative clients or clients with "issues";
  • clients who don't pay on time, or don't pay at all;
  • clients they wish would simply go away;
  • clients they don't want or need;
3.  The gay couple fell into the last category.
4.  Even prestigious universities, who pride themselves on high-achiever levels of admission and snob value, will happily let really dim-witted Johnny into their ranks and virtually guarantee his graduation, if Johnny's wealthy and socially connected parents offer them a handsome bribe  make a generous donation to the university's endowment fund a year or so before Johnny is due to show up, thereby leapfrogging the entire admission process and merit scrutiny.  It's done all the time, especially in Asia where the right "degree" from the "right university" is awfully important.

5. You don't think the university is discriminating as a business decision in accepting this bribe  this generous and timely donation...??

6.  What about clubs where the bouncers/doormen decide who gets in based on looks, trendiness and hotness...? Or whether you get a VIP entry...?  You don't think they're discriminating..?  Has the club been taken to court...?

7.  What about that women-run cafe in Australia that hires only women and once a week, charges men more because of gender pay gaps..?

4.  Gay Business Discriminate Against Gay Customers

1. Take a walk down Fagland lane in the West.  Or drop into a trendy gay clothing shop in Asia.  There's a good chance the goods they're selling, are overpriced compared to what the same items could be purchased for in other shops not specifically catering to a gay clientele.

2.  It's no accident in Hong Kong that over-priced gay retail that makes repeat customers think twice, coupled with sky-high rent, results in the failure of the gay business sooner rather than later.

3.  And yet, especially in the West, there's a rainbow flag sticker in the shop window and a cutesy sign underneath proclaiming, "Proudly Serving Our Community".   On one occasion in the West, when FuelMix pointed out that the sign should read, "Unashamedly Price-Gouging Gay Men", he was asked to leave the shop.

4.  We've written about gay business practices in our series, Pink Dollar Mafia.

5.  Real Issue:  Freedom of Association

1.  If a business publicly decides to state its customer preference or its bias, or its religious beliefs, it takes several risks:
  • it risks a public backlash and adverse publicity. Remember Double Sauna here in Hong Kong...? Which became Hutong..? That was the gay sauna in Mong Kok allegedly notorious for its entry criteria based on ageism, racism, lookism and body type in their quest to attract only hot muscular guys...? Were they taken to court..?  They got a lot of flak online and didn't give a damn;
  • it risks alienating existing customers;
  • it risks some form of legal or administrative sanction;
  • it risks a boycott.  When the owner of Chick-Fil-A in the US stated he did not support gay marriage, fags screamed for a boycott of that business - which backfired when a christian group brought crowds of patrons to the chain;
  • it risks bankruptcy;

2. More importantly, it also risks removing potentially unwanted clientele and actually attracting their ideal customers.  For a time, Double Sauna (Hutong less so, apparently, now that it's being overrun with Mainland Chinese and fat ones at that) was doing exactly that.  It's a fine line to walk.  Some businesses choose to walk it.  We say that's OK.

3.  For the pragmatic [gay] customer, being put on actual notice that a business [gay or str8] is wearing its preference or bias or religious beliefs on its sleeve, is actually a good thing.  Better to know up front before stepping into the shop (or that gay sauna), wasting your money or worse, having a nasty or embarrassing encounter.  You don't agree with what they've done or their preferences / bias / religious beliefs...?  Great. Go elsewhere.  You have that choice.  You've always had it.  You don't have to force them to take your money when they don't want it.

4.  Put it this way....you're in a gay sauna and you're cruising some hottie and he's constantly rejecting you.  He's wearing his preference, or his bias, on his sleeve.  Do you go running to the sauna management and demand that the hottie be made to fuck you...?  No.  You shrug it off and continue cruising.  In other words, both you and the hottie are exercising their right of freedom of association.

5.  It's the same in business.  They have the right to decide who'll they'll serve.  You have the right to decide who you'll patronize.  No amount of laws, regulations, Sensitivity Training, Affirmative Action, Political Correctness is going to change that.

6.  Faggotry Just Makes Things Worse

1.  In fact, Political Correctness, Faggotry-style, will just make it worse.....IF the US Supreme Court had ruled that the hetero baker had to make cakes for gay customers and could not refuse, then logically, Faggotry would still be fucked if the freedom of association was removed.

2.  Want proof....?  Suppose the baker was actually a fag.  He would have to accept business from violently homophobic Neo-Nazi skinheads or, ultra-conservative hate-spewing christians coming in
each day demanding cakes with the icing, "Kill me, I'm a useless faggot".  And the gay baker would have no choice but to comply - even if he didn't want their business.

3.  And right there, Faggotry would squeal again.....

4.  You want a happier, hassle-free life...?  Dump Faggotry and start thinking for yourselves.  A shop doesn't want your business...?  Fine, move on.  Faggotry has no legitimacy to impose the views of a minority on the majority.  Not only is it wrecking the freedom of association, it is distorting the free-market economy.

The Epidemic Of Gay Loneliness 6

Sent in by a reader today:

Hi FM

Liked your re-post of the HuffPost article.  In addition to highlighting the problem of loneliness in the gay community, it completely destroys the presumption (put forward by brainwashed technophiles and brain dead snow flake millennials) that greater openness and connectivity will make everything better.

Have a good week
Rxxxxxx

FuelMix says:

1.  Amen brother.

2.  We feel particularly vindicated by this series that our assertion that "Fagland" was not only a geographical area, but also a state of mind, was accurate.  We won't get into the flak and abuse we received from (white) fags when we first declared it years ago.

3.  We feel sad when we think about the number of (white) gay twinks we advised to move out of the gay ghetto to save their lives. At the time, FuelMix was on the West Coast.

4.  For many of these twinks, living in Fagland was the first time they'd been away from home and they were desperate to live with other gay men and sample "the lifestyle".  But they were horribly wounded emotionally by the outright hostility, lack of basic civility, the belittling and the rejections.  Being far from home (or too embarrassed to return home) they felt lonely and unwanted.  "The community" they craved, was a pressure cooker of fear and loathing.  The only way out was drugs, drug-fueled risky sex and / or suicide.

5.  In the post, Here And Hereafter 2, we referred to this phenomenon:

2.  An outrageous claim fags make is that they are a “community”. That’s a lie. A “community” implies cohesion. How can there be cohesion when the community consists of so many individually wounded, fractured psyches? FuelMix has often been left speechless at the numbers of deeply lonely, sexually abused, fundamentally unhappy fags, some quite young, for whom living in Fagland (either as a postal code or a state of mind) is a daily accumulation of financial, social and emotional degradation culminating in a fundamental lack of self-worth.

 6.  When we suggested to the twinks that they move out of the gay ghetto, they were initially shocked and accused us of being anti-white and homophobic.  It wasn't until much later that they finally got what we were saying......if you want to be happy and successful on your terms (and stay alive) you have to be homophobic -  according to the standards of conventional Faggotry.  In other words, your life depends on you being a gay man on your terms, not on others.

7.  One of the advantages Asian cities have over the west, is that there are far less geographically defined gay ghettos.  We maintain that's a positive sign and that the emergence of the ghetto should be discouraged.

8.  That still leaves unresolved the issue of the "Fagland mentality", the lack of self-worth and the drug use which can - and does - operate independently of the ghetto's existence.  We don't claim to have the answers - although we blatantly suggest looking at our landmark series, Principles of Faggotry, which apparently pissed off (and delighted) fags.

The Epidemic Of Gay Loneliness 5

Side headings, underlining, highlighting and bold print by FuelMix:

8.  Why Are Gay Men So Mean To Each Other..?  Two Reasons

First Reason

The researchers I spoke to explained that gay guys inflict this kind of damage on each other for two main reasons. The first, and the one I heard most frequently, is that gay men are shitty to each other because, basically, we’re men.

“The challenges of masculinity get magnified in a community of men,” Pachankis says. “Masculinity is precarious. It has to be constantly enacted or defended or collected. We see this in studies: You can threaten masculinity among men and then look at the dumb things they do. They show more aggressive posturing, they start taking financial risks, they want to punch things.”

This helps explain the pervasive stigma against feminine guys in the gay community.......... most gay men report that they want to date someone masculine, and that they wished they acted more masculine themselves. Maybe that’s because, historically, masculine men have been more able to blend into straight society. Or maybe it’s internalized homophobia: Feminine gay men are still stereotyped as bottoms, the receptive partner in anal sex.

A two-year longitudinal study found that the longer gay men were out of the closet, the more likely they were to become versatile or tops. Researchers say this kind of training, deliberately trying to appear more masculine and taking on a different sex role, is just one of the ways gay men pressure each other to attain “sexual capital,” the equivalent of going to the gym or plucking our eyebrows.

“The only reason I started working out was so I would seem like a feasible top,” Martin says. When he first came out, he was convinced that he was too skinny, too effeminate, that bottoms would think he was one of them. “So I started faking all this hyper-masculine behavior. My boyfriend noticed recently that I still lower my voice an octave whenever I order drinks. That’s a remnant of my first few years out of the closet, when I thought I had to speak in this Christian Bale Batman voice to get dates.”

Grant, a 21-year-old who grew up on Long Island and now lives in Hell’s Kitchen, says he used to be self-conscious about the way he stood—hands on hips, one leg slightly cocked like a Rockette. So, his sophomore year, he started watching his male teachers for their default positions, deliberately standing with his feet wide, his arms at his sides.

These masculinity norms exert a toll on everyone, even their perpetrators. Feminine gay men are at higher risk of suicide, loneliness and mental illness. Masculine gay men, for their part, are more  anxious, have more risky sex and use drugs and tobacco with greater frequency. One study investigating why living in the gay community increases depression found that the effect only showed up in masculine gay guys.

Second Reason

The second reason the gay community acts as a unique stressor on its members is not about why we reject each other, but how.

In the last 10 years, traditional gay spaces—bars, nightclubs, bathhouses—have begun to disappear, and have been replaced by social media. At least 70 percent of gay men now use hookup apps like Grindr and Scruff to meet each other. .............

.........the real effect of the apps is quieter, less remarked-upon and, in a way, more profound: For many of us, they have become the primary way we interact with other gay people.....

The worst thing about the apps, though, and why they’re relevant to the health disparity between gay and straight men, is not just that we use them a lot. It is that they are almost perfectly designed to underline our negative beliefs about ourselves. In interviews ........ conducted with gay men in 2015, he found that 90 percent said they wanted a partner who was tall, young, white, muscular and masculine. For the vast majority of us who barely meet one of those criteria, much less all five, the hookup apps merely provide an efficient way to feel ugly.........

It’s worse for gay men of color. Vincent, who runs counseling sessions with black and Latino men through the San Francisco Department of Public Health, says the apps give racial minorities two forms of feedback: Rejected (“Sorry, I’m not into black guys”) and fetishized (“Hi, I’m really into black guys.”) Paihan, a Taiwanese immigrant in Seattle, shows me his Grindr inbox. It is, like mine, mostly hellos he has sent out to no reply. One of the few messages he received just says, “Asiiiaaaan.”

None of this is new, of course. Walt Odets, a psychologist who’s been writing about social isolation since the 1980s, says that gay men used to be troubled by the bathhouses in the same way they are troubled by Grindr now. The difference he sees in his younger patients is that “if someone rejected you at a bathhouse, you could still have a conversation afterwards. Maybe you end up with a friend out of it, or at least something that becomes a positive social experience. On the apps, you just get ignored if someone doesn’t perceive you as a sexual or romantic conquest.” The gay men I interviewed talked about the dating apps the same way straight people talk about Comcast: It sucks, but what are you gonna do? “You have to use the apps in smaller cities,” says Michael Moore, a psychologist at Yale. “They serve the purpose of a gay bar. But the downside is that they put all this prejudice out there.”

What the apps reinforce, or perhaps simply accelerate, is the adult version of what Pachankis calls the Best Little Boy in the World Hypothesis. As kids, growing up in the closet makes us more likely to concentrate our self-worth into whatever the outside world wants us to be—good at sports, good at school, whatever. As adults, the social norms in our own community pressure us to concentrate our self-worth even further—into our looks, our masculinity, our sexual performance. But then, even if we manage to compete there, even if we attain whatever masc-dom-top ideal we’re looking for, all we’ve really done is condition ourselves to be devastated when we inevitably lose it.

The Epidemic Of Gay Loneliness 4

6. The Reality Of The Gay Community : Gay Men Are Mean

............“There are people who have lots of sex because it’s fun, and that’s fine. But I kept trying to wring it out like a rag to get something out of it that wasn’t in there—social support, or companionship. It was a way of not dealing with my own life. And I kept denying it was a problem because I had always told myself, ‘I’ve come out, I moved to San Francisco, I’m done, I did what I had to do as a gay person.’”

For decades, this is what psychologists thought, too: that the key stages in identity formation for gay men all led up to coming out, that once we were finally comfortable with ourselves, we could begin building a life within a community of people who’d gone through the same thing. But over the last 10 years, what researchers have discovered is that the struggle to fit in only grows more intense. A study published in 2015 found that rates of anxiety and depression were higher in men who had recently come out than in men who were still closeted.

“It’s like you emerge from the closet expecting to be this butterfly and the gay community just slaps the idealism out of you,” Adam says. When he first started coming out, he says, “I went to West Hollywood because I thought that’s where my people were. But it was really horrifying. It’s made by gay adults, and it’s not welcoming for gay kids. You go from your mom’s house to a gay club where a lot of people are on drugs and it’s like, this is my community?  It's like the fucking jungle."

“I came out when I was 17, and I didn’t see a place for myself in the gay scene,” says Paul, a software developer. “I wanted to fall in love like I saw straight people do in movies. But I just felt like a piece of meat. It got so bad that I used to go to the grocery store that was 40 minutes away instead of the one that was 10 minutes away just because I was so afraid to walk down the gay street.”

The word I hear from Paul, from everyone, is “re-traumatized.” You grow up with this loneliness, accumulating all this baggage, and then you arrive in the Castro or Chelsea or Boystown thinking you’ll finally be accepted for who you are. And then you realize that everyone else here has baggage, too. All of a sudden it’s not your gayness that gets you rejected. It’s your weight, or your income, or your race. “The bullied kids of our youth,” Paul says, “grew up and became bullies themselves.”

“Gay men in particular are just not very nice to each other,” ..........“In pop culture, drag queens are known for their takedowns and it’s all ha ha ha. But that meanness is almost pathological. All of us were deeply confused or lying to ourselves for a good chunk of our adolescence. But it’s not comfortable for us to show that to other people. So we show other people what the world shows us, which is nastiness.”

Every gay man I know carries around a mental portfolio of all the shitty things other gay men have said and done to him. I arrived to a date once and the guy immediately stood up, said I was shorter than I looked in my pictures and left. Alex, a fitness instructor in Seattle, was told by a guy on his swim team, “I’ll ignore your face if you fuck me without a condom.” Martin, a Brit living in Portland, has gained maybe 10 pounds since he moved there and got a Grindr message—on Christmas Day—that said: “You used to be so sexy. It’s a shame you messed it up.”

7.  The Stress Of Living In The Gay Community

..........Several studies have found that living in gay neighborhoods predicts higher rates of risky sex and meth use and less time spent on other community activities like volunteering or playing sports. A 2009 study suggested that gay men who were more linked to the gay community were less satisfied with their own romantic relationships.

“Gay and bisexual men talk about the gay community as a significant source of stress in their lives,” Pachankis says. The fundamental reason for this, he says, is that “in-group discrimination” does more harm to your psyche than getting rejected by members of the majority. It’s easy to ignore, roll your eyes and put a middle finger up to straight people who don’t like you because, whatever, you don’t need their approval anyway. Rejection from other gay people, though, feels like losing your only way of making friends and finding love. Being pushed away from your own people hurts more because you need them more.

The Epidemic Of Gay Loneliness 3

Side headings, underlining, highlighting and bold print by FuelMix:

5.  Minority Stress

The term researchers use to explain this phenomenon is “minority stress.” In its most direct form, it’s pretty simple: Being a member of a marginalized group requires extra effort. When you’re the only woman at a business meeting, or the only black guy in your college dorm, you have to think on a level that members of the majority don’t. If you stand up to your boss, or fail to, are you playing into stereotypes of women in the workplace? If you don’t ace a test, will people think it’s because of your race? Even if you don’t experience overt stigma, considering these possibilities takes its toll over time.

For gay people, the effect is magnified by the fact that our minority status is hidden. Not only do we have to do all this extra work and answer all these internal questions when we’re 12, but we also have to do it without being able to talk to our friends or parents about it.

John Pachankis, a stress researcher at Yale, says the real damage gets done in the five or so years between realizing your sexuality and starting to tell other people. Even relatively small stressors in this period have an outsized effect—not because they’re directly traumatic, but because we start to expect them. “No one has to call you queer for you to adjust your behavior to avoid being called that,”...........

“The trauma for gay men is the prolonged nature of it,” says William Elder, a sexual trauma researcher and psychologist. “If you experience one traumatic event, you have the kind of PTSD that can be resolved in four to six months of therapy. But if you experience years and years of small stressors—little things where you think, Was that because of my sexuality?—that can be even worse.”............

Growing up gay, it seems, is bad for you in many of the same ways as growing up in extreme poverty. A 2015 study found that gay people produce less cortisol, the hormone that regulates stress. Their systems were so activated, so constantly, in adolescence that they ended up sluggish as grownups, says Katie McLaughlin, one of the study’s co-authors. In 2014, researchers compared straight and gay teenagers on cardiovascular risk. They found that the gay kids didn’t have a greater number of “stressful life events” (i.e. straight people have problems, too), but the ones they did experience inflicted more harm on their nervous systems.

Annesa Flentje, a stress researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, specializes in the effect of minority stress on gene expression. All those little punches combine with our adaptations to them, she says, and become “automatic ways of thinking that never get challenged or turned off, even 30 years later.” Whether we recognize it or not, our bodies bring the closet with us into adulthood. “We don’t have the tools to process stress as kids, and we don’t recognize it as trauma as adults,” says John.........

But minority stress doesn’t fully explain why gay men have such a wide array of health problems. Because while the first round of damage happens before we come out of the closet, the second, and maybe more severe, comes afterward.

The Epidemic Of Gay Loneliness 2

Side headings, underlining, highlighting and bold print by FuelMix:

4.  Why Do Gay Men Keep Killing Themselves..?

Travis Salway, a researcher with the BC Centre for Disease Control in Vancouver, has spent the last five years trying to figure out why gay men keep killing themselves.

“The defining feature of gay men used to be the loneliness of the closet,” he says. “But now you’ve got millions of gay men who have come out of the closet and they still feel the same isolation.”........

..... he was a social worker and epidemiologist and.....was struck by the growing distance between his straight and gay friends. He started to wonder if the story he had always heard about gay men and mental health was incomplete.

When the disparity first came to light in the ’50s and ’60s, doctors thought it was a symptom of homosexuality itself, just one of many manifestations of what was, at the time, known as “sexual inversion.” As the gay rights movement gained steam, though, homosexuality disappeared from the DSM [Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders] and the explanation shifted to trauma. Gay men were being kicked out of their own families, their love lives were illegal. Of course they had alarming rates of suicide and depression. “That was the idea I had, too,” Salway says, “that gay suicide was a product of a bygone era, or it was concentrated among adolescents who didn’t see any other way out.”

And then he looked at the data. The problem wasn’t just suicide, it wasn’t just afflicting teenagers and it wasn’t just happening in areas stained by homophobia. He found that gay men everywhere, at every age, have higher rates of cardiovascular disease, cancer, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, allergies and asthma—you name it, we got it. In Canada, Salway eventually discovered, more gay men were dyingfrom suicide than from AIDS, and had been for years. (This might be the case in the U.S. too, he says, but no one has bothered to study it.)

“We see gay men who have never been sexually or physically assaulted with similar post-traumatic stress symptoms to people who have been in combat situations or who have been raped,” says Alex Keuroghlian, a psychiatrist at the Fenway Institute’s Center for Population Research in LGBT Health.

Gay men are, as Keuroghlian puts it, “primed to expect rejection.” We’re constantly scanning social situations for ways we may not fit into them. We struggle to assert ourselves. We replay our social failures on a loop.

The weirdest thing about these symptoms, though, is that most of us don't see them as symptoms at all.  Since he looked into the data, Salway has started interviewing gay men who attempted suicide and survived.

"When you ask them why they tried to kill themselves," he says, "most of them don't mention anything at all about being gay."  Instead, he says, they tell him they're having relationship problems, career problems, money problems.  "They don't feel that their sexuality is the most salient aspect of their lives.  And yet, they're an order of magnitude more likely to kill themselves."

The Epidemic Of Gay Loneliness 1

Side headings, underlining, highlighting and bold print by FuelMix:

1.  Introduction

“I used to get so excited when the meth was all gone.”

This is my friend Jeremy.

“When you have it,” he says, “you have to keep using it. When it’s gone, it’s like, ‘Oh good, I can go back to my life now.’ I would stay up all weekend and go to these sex parties and then feel like shit until Wednesday. About two years ago I switched to cocaine because I could work the next day.”

Jeremy is telling me this from a hospital bed, six stories above Seattle. He won’t tell me the exact circumstances of the overdose, only that a stranger called an ambulance and he woke up here......

“The drugs were a combination of boredom and loneliness,” he says. “I used to come home from work exhausted on a Friday night and it’s like, ‘Now what?’ So I would dial out to get some meth delivered and check the Internet to see if there were any parties happening. It was either that or watch a movie by myself.”

Jeremy is not my only gay friend who’s struggling. There’s Malcolm, who barely leaves the house except for work because his anxiety is so bad. There’s Jared, whose depression and body dysmorphia have steadily shrunk his social life down to me, the gym and Internet hookups. And there was Christian, the second guy I ever kissed, who killed himself at 32, two weeks after his boyfriend broke up with him. Christian went to a party store, rented a helium tank, started inhaling it, then texted his ex and told him to come over, to make sure he’d find the body.

2.  Divergence Between Str8s And Gays

For years I’ve noticed the divergence between my straight friends and my gay friends. While one half of my social circle has disappeared into relationships, kids and suburbs, the other has struggled through isolation and anxiety, hard drugs and risky sex.

None of this fits the narrative I have been told, the one I have told myself. Like me, Jeremy did not grow up bullied by his peers or rejected by his family. He can’t remember ever being called a faggot. He was raised in a West Coast suburb.....

Gay people are now, depending on the study, between 2 and 10 times more likely than straight people to take their own lives. We’re twice as likely to have a major depressive episode. ............ Despite all the talk of our "chosen families", gay men have fewer close friends than straight people or gay women. In a survey of care-providers at HIV clinics, one respondent told researchers: “It’s not a question of them not knowing how to save their lives. It’s a question of them knowing if their lives are worth saving.” ........

3.  Gay Marriage Equality And Unfulfilment

“Marriage equality and the changes in legal status were an improvement for some gay men,” says Christopher Stults, a researcher at New York University who studies the differences in mental health between gay and straight men. “But for a lot of other people, it was a letdown. Like, we have this legal status, and yet there’s still something unfulfilled.”

This feeling of emptiness, it turns out, is not just an American phenomenon. In the Netherlands, where gay marriage has been legal since 2001, gay men remain three times more likely to suffer from a mood disorder than straight men, and 10 times more likely to engage in “suicidal self-harm.” In Sweden, which has had civil unions since 1995 and full marriage since 2009, men married to men have triple the suicide rate of men married to women.

All of these unbearable statistics lead to the same conclusion: It is still dangerously alienating to go through life as a man attracted to other men. The good news, though, is that epidemiologists and social scientists are closer than ever to understanding all the reasons why.

Shitty By The Bay 2

When one has a rabidly left-wing, ultra-liberal, politically correct agenda as the method for running a city, the results are bound to be disastrous, retarded and flat-out hilarious.

In Shitty By The Bay 1, we wrote about how fast San Francisco, allegedly one of the wealthiest cities anywhere (and currently with skyrocketing property prices), was going downhill (pun intended) fast with unprecedented amounts of homelessness, crime, vandalism, urban blight and risk of disease.

And now, at San Francisco Airport, ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft, are NOT allowed to pick up passengers at Arrivals. (Presumably, that is to protect the local Taxi companies).

Read that again.

The result...?

-----"San Francisco Airport Lunacy Causing Huge Traffic Congestion", MishTalk, Global Economic Analysis 5 June 2018

So now, Uber and Lyft:

Pick up arriving passengers from Departures.

And departing passengers are dropped off at Arrivals.

The result...? Chaos at the Departures level (apparently blamed on Uber and Lyft) and an underused Arrivals level because few people wish to pay the city's bureaucratic solution of Two-Tiered Taxi rates.

In other words, pay premium prices for curbside access (an additional US3.80) and a lower fare if you schlepp your luggage and walk to the central garage.

Or pay nothing, if you just go upstairs to Departures and hail Uber and Lyft. Of course, Uber and Lyft would be there, since why would they do a return journey to town empty..?

Gotta love Liberals....

We have no political or religious affiliations.

Gay Berlin

A nice reliable person informed us that Hong Kong Airlines is investigating the feasibility of opening a new non-stop route from Hong Kong to Berlin, Germany.

We pricked up our ears because the financially-troubled and now defunct Air Berlin, had announced that it would start flights from Berlin to Hong Kong from October 2017.

At the moment, Cathay Pacific Airways flies non-stop from Hong Kong to Frankfurt.  They had briefly flown to Dusseldorf as well, but that route has been "suspended".

Berlin has a long gay history.  Prior to the Second World War, it was a hotbed of gay debauchery, gay pedophilia, gay cross-dressing and gay prostitution.  There was a brief hint of that in the movie, "Cabaret" starring Liza Minnelli.

More disturbingly and controversially, it was in Berlin that openly gay, violent, self-avowed "macho" men (they utterly despised effeminate men) met in a known gay bar and were instrumental in forming the National Socialist Party - better known as the Nazis.  They were part of Adolph Hitler's coterie, occupying the highest positions in the Hitler Youth Movement, the Storm Troopers and the Gestapo.

We have written about this in the 3 part series, "The Pink Swastika".  This is based on the book of the same name that challenges the conventional story that the Nazis were violently homophobic.  It is linked here:

The Pink Swastika 1
The Pink Swastika 2
The Pink Swastika 3

In case you faggots didn't know, Berlin is the raunchiest (and most drug-fucked) gay city in Europe, and probably in the world.  Look it up.

What goes on quite brazenly in the Berlin gay scene is wwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy beyond "vanilla".

And you thought the Nazis hated gays...

A review of the book, "The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality In The Nazi Party" authored by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams.  The book challenges the popular notion that the Nazis were homophobic.

Summary of conclusions drawn by "The Pink Swastika" authors based on the review, The Pink Swastika And Holocaust Revisionist History, Judith A. Riesman PhD, The Institute For Media Education,  September 8, 2006

1.  Berlin was a hotbed of gay culture, gay debauchery and gay pederasty.

2.  Adolf Hitler knew, and was well known, to several gay men in Berlin.

3.  The Nazi party was formed in a known gay bar in Berlin.

4.  Its founding members were known to be gay and in some cases, gay and sexually violent; or gay criminal thugs.

5.  They made no attempt to hide their sexual orientation or their closeness to Hitler.

6.  The Nazis actively recruited gay men, regardless of whether they were gay and sexually violent; or gay criminal thugs.  These gay men were high-ranking officers and staff within the echelons of the Nazi party as well as the Storm Troopers and the Gestapo.

7.  Violence was condoned.

8.  There was a split in the Nazi party between the gay macho, masculine "butch" Nazis who either glorified or lived up to the ideal of the dominating Aryan male physique which was worthy of worship; and those gay men who were deemed too effeminate.

9.  With a few exceptions, it was the "effeminate" Nazi party members who were hounded, harassed or murdered by way of political assassinations.  It appears they were murdered because they knew too much about the gay origins of the Nazi party and Hitler's close relationship with known homosexuals who preyed on young boys.

10. The majority of homosexuals in Germany, estimated at several million, were not touched.  Hitler refused to go after them.

11.  Those that were rounded up were deemed "effeminate" and were sent to Work Camps, NOT the death camps where the Jews were sent.

12.  There is no evidence of wholesale removal of civil rights, travel restrictions or confiscation of homosexual property by the Nazis or persecution of those who sheltered gays.

13.  Since the Nazi party was gay (and violently gay and sexually depraved) at its very core, it was gay men who ordered and participated in sexual degradation, torture and extermination of the Jews.

14.  These facts have been deliberately hidden to portray gay men as innocent victims - whereas they were in reality, the perpetrators of the Holocaust.

FuelMix says:

1.  Hello Apocalypse........

2.  One can understand why this book is such a potential bombshell and why mainstream media and mainstream academics are ignoring it.  Yet to date, so far as we are aware, nobody has come forward to refute the detailed assertions that the authors made.

3.  From our point of view, these assertions are another example of The Apocalypse, the true meaning of which, is that which was hidden is now revealed.  It is often said that History is the diary of the victors - in other words, future generations simply get a whitewashed or wholly distorted and deliberately revisionist version of events and / or the truth.

4.  For over 70 years, gay men appear to have been lied to concerning their history in World War 2 Europe. They were not victims on the scale alleged, but the violently gay-centric Nazi party instigated mass torture and mass murder of others.

6.  Homosexuals All Around Hitler
7.  The Nazis Were Tolerant Of Homosexuals
8.  "Fem" Homos vs "Butch" Homos
9.  The Numbers And The Facts

And you thought the Nazis hated gays...

A review of the book, "The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality In The Nazi Party" authored by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams.  The book challenges the popular notion that the Nazis were homophobic.

Underlining, side headings, highlighting and bold print by FuelMix:

6.  Homosexuals All Around Hitler

The authors raise many questions in The Pink Swastika. If he feared homosexual influence on boys, why did Hitler chose known homosexuals to serve as key youth leaders? Karl Fischer, a homosexual teacher, began the Wandervogel (a German version of the boy Scouts), which became "The Hitler Youth" in 1933, under a well known pederast, Hans Blueher, who wrote of man-boy "love." Gerhard Rossbach, homosexual Nazi leader of the Freikorps gave over leadership of the Schill Youth to Edmund Heines, a convicted Nazi pederast, and murderer, all under the watchful eye of Adolf Hitler.

The Pink Swastika reports that while Hitler and his Gestapo chief, Heinrich Himmler methodologically annihilated all German and European Jews via mass deportations to death camps, beyond political homophobic rhetoric after the Rohm murders, and a demand that men produce children for the Aryan race, Hitler refused to attack "homosexuals."

Adolf Brand, a pederast-child pornographer was one of many prominent "butch" advocate homosexuals who continued to live, write and entertain in Germany, untouched by the Nazis. Other homosexual and bisexual leaders cited by these and other authors included Bladur von Schirach, Hitler Youth Leader; Hans Frank, Hitler’s Minister of Justice; Wilhelm Bruckner, Hitler’s adjutant; Walther Funk, Hitler’s Minister of Economics; friend and advisor Hermann Goering, Hitler’s second in command (who dressed "in drag and wore camp make-up"), Hans Kahnert, who founded Germany’s largest "Gay rights organization (Society for Human Rights) which counted "SA Chief Ernst Rohm among its members," Edmund Heines, a pederast sadist, Dr. Karl Gunther Heimsoth, a homosexual Nazi who coined the term "homophile," and Julius Streicher, an infamous pornographer and pederast who was very close to Hitler......

.....A look at another photograph of Hitler finds him voluntarily posing enthusiastically before a massive statue of two nude, muscular men holding hands. This suggests we ask if Hitler had a sexual relationship with his handsome young chauffeur (a not uncommon arrangement as identified in reports of the time). Maurice is identified as the man erased in the SS photograph, his two shoes still quite visible in the picture. Elsewhere, pictures of Maurice reveal a dark-haired, rather Semitic looking young man. Could Maurice have been Hitler’s Jewish, SS lover?.....

7.  The Nazis Were Tolerant To Homosexuals

Most histories of World War II (see especially Shirer’s The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich) report Hitler’s ties to the "notorious" homosexual, Ernst Rohm and other males within his coterie. The Pink Swastika notes, if anything, that sex laws under Hitler’s Reich Minister of the Interior Henrich Himmler were largely tolerant toward the "2 million" Germans Himmler said were registered in homosexual organizations in 1933, for "only repeat offenders can be incarcerated." "Repeat offenders" meant a fourth public sex offense, or someone who had already served six months in jail for repeated offenses. In 1940, Himmler reiterated that only "multiple offenders" (largely engaged in sex in a public forum) might be jailed. However, wrote Himmler, "artists and actors" might escape any penalty, despite how often they were found in compromising situations......

8.  "Fem" Homos vs "Butch" Homos

..... Historical records suggest Germany had perhaps 700,000 Jews versus 2-3 million "registered" homosexuals, according to Himmler. Whether there were 1 and a half million (Hirschfeld) or 2 to 3 million (Himmler), at most 10,000 German homosexuals were sent to work camps, 6,000 died and 4,000 were released. The 6,000 homosexual deaths are a minimum of Germans who would have been "fems," despised by the homosexual powered elite as well as collections of homosexuals who were also Jewish, Italian, Asian, Black, Communist, Marxist and the like. This still leaves estimates of 20,000 male prostitutes unaccounted for with the under 1% of homosexuals largely interned in "work camps," not.....the "death" camps for Jews and other outcasts. Lively and Abrams point to the nearly 100% extermination effort by the Nazis toward all captured Jews of all nationalities, gassed or interned in death camps. The especial concern of Hitler that all good Germans reproduce in order to create an Aryan nation must not be forgotten. Aryan Germans were expected to breed and it is well known that German breeding farms were established for that purpose. Non-German homosexuals appear to have been of no interest to the Nazis, for there is no record of any attempts to hunt, arrest or harm foreign homosexuals, for any reason.

The evidence strongly suggests these selected German homosexuals were killed for political reasons.....The authors raise some interesting questions, such as where is the record of retaliation for those who hid, hired, nursed and fed persecuted homosexuals? The author’s discussions of the "butch" versus "fems" battle raging between German homosexuals and the effect of this internal war on alleged "book burning" and the like, answer many critical questions.

In the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, Shirer said Hitler welcomed "Murderers, pimps, homosexual perverts, drug addicts or just plain rowdies." In fact, even Shirer sidestepped the brazenly homosexual nature of Nazi party pioneers--a critical body of knowledge for any society contending for a civil existence. The authors cite several million "Butch" type Rohm homosexual Nazis who worked as guards and directors of women’s and men’s death camps and work camps. Elie Weisel, the world famous Holocaust survivor, reported witnessing homosexual guards and administrators who "kept" and raped young Jewish boys at will, "there was a considerable traffic in children among homosexuals here, I learned later."

9.  The Numbers And The Facts

Lively and Abrams report that basic mathematics refute the idea that homosexuals were killed for being homosexual. For were homosexuals treated like Jews, 2-3 million out of 2-3 million German homosexuals should have lost their businesses, their jobs, their property, their possessions and most should have lost their lives. Homosexuals would have been forced to wear pink triangles on their clothing in the streets, they would have had their passports stamped with an "H," barred from travel, work, shopping, public appearances without their armbands, and we would have thousands of pictures of pink triangle graffiti saying "kill the faggots," and the like. If German homosexuals were not Nazis, these 2-3 million men would have been homeless, walled into ghettos, worked as a mass labor pool, then gassed and their abuse recorded in graphic detail, as were millions of Jews. And, if Germany’s several million "gays" were not Nazi victims, they were Nazi soldiers, collaborators or murderers......

The Storm Troopers and the Gestapo were schooled in what the authors call the "Hellenistic" Greek ideal of man-youth-pedagogy. Concerned about the man-boy aspect of homosexuality, The Pink Swastika connects-the-dots for readers from the homosexual power structure in Germany to the current social debate in the United States. The naked, copulatory San Francisco "gay rights" parades, the violent homosexual burning of buildings when Governor Pete Wilson originally refused gay minority rights, the bullying attacks on Cardinal O’Conner and former HHS Secretary Louis Sullivan and scores of others, note the authors, are a replay of the homoerotic Nazis.....

The Pink Swastika is both an excellent course in Nazi history.....Historical research like this should be pouring out from our institutions of higher learning. That universities are captured by "politically correct" homosexual/feminism only proves how dangerous fraud in science has been and continues to be..... Lively and Abrams have done a yeoman’s job in bringing this controversial and important information to the public forum.....

The greatest sacrilege to the millions of innocent infant and aged Nazi victims, would be to allow these dead to be exploited as political fodder to re-arm the same ideologues who ushered in Germany’s "final solution". The Pink Swastika challenges the historical meaning of The Pink Triangle and in doing so, brings light to one of the darkest pages of human history.

1.  Very Little Evidence That Gays Were Nazi Victims

Under the banner of The Pink Triangle (a Nazi symbol for incarcerated homosexuals), a mass media campaign by the major broadcasters and press, has been awarding Nazi victim status to homosexuals. Claiming to have been victimized by the Nazis just like the Jews, pink triangles are sweeping the land, embossed on fancy stationary, upscale check books, flags, posters, stickers, shirts, pins, and the like. After losing nearly all of my (Jewish) family in the gas chambers during World War II, I was deeply disconcerted when Holocaust museums world wide advertised new exhibits alleging the Nazi mass murder of homosexuals. One of the complaints of those curating these exhibits has been the dearth of evidence with which to document museum assertions of a Nazi aminus toward homosexuals. Now, here come the authors of The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party, Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams, to document why evidence of a fatal form of Nazi "homophobia" has been uniformly lacking.

2.  The Nazis:  A Male State Organized On A Homosexual Basis

Instead of evidence finding Nazism in conflict with homosexuality, Lively and Abrams report the strategies of the German homosexual movement to ensconce National Socialism (the Nazi party) and Adolf Hitler, triggering a holocaust which engulfed all of Europe. Writing of those days in The Mass Psychology of Fascism, radical German sexologist and Hitler contemporary, Wilhelm Reich, warned that Nazi leadership was both ideologically and actually homosexual. Almost as an aside, Reich noted Nazi leaders such as "Bluher, Roehm.... Rosenberg" represented Hitler’s fascism, which was, Reich said, "a male state organized on a homosexual basis."

But, the primary confirmation of The Pink Swastika and Reich, are the formal writings of Adolf Hitler himself, in the bible of the Nazi movement, Mein Kampf [My Struggle]. Here the reader meets up with page after page of Hitler’s outspoken hatred of Jews, Marxists, Negroes, Chinese, Arabs, women, and all Eastern Europeans.....

3.  The Super Macho Nazi Aryan (Gay) Male

Hitler is documented as classifying who he and Germany should hate. He hid nothing. Jews and the like were subhuman, they were "parasites" "vampires," "liars" "cowards," "traitors," among other adjectives. But, search the Nazi manifesto for any animosity, contempt, much less hatred of homosexuals. To do so is to search in vain. In point of fact, as Reich knew personally, Hitler eulogized and venerated the archetypal super macho Aryan male,.....

Hitler outlined in Mein Kampf who would live and who would die: He stated who would be slave and who would be master. The Pink Swastika opens his fascist bible to the prototypical Nazi macho homosexual male best expressed today in the widely popular "Tom of Finland" fantasy drawings sold in all homosexual book stores, magazines, as well as in general advertisements for "gay" films and phone sex. Common are the blond, square jawed muscle men wearing Luftwaffe caps, skin tight black pants, high black polished boots, sporting a black leather strap going from the shoulder diagonally across a hairless, bare, Aryan chest, a whip swishing alongside the hero’s slim hips.

The authors recall the 1920s post WW1 Weimar Republic, the near starvation and wild currency fluctuations in Germany against the backdrop of the sex and drug "Cabaret" scene of Europe and Gay Berlin. They point to Berlin’s world famous coterie of Bohemian artists, sadosexual transvestites, lesbians and homosexual nightclubs and baths, as well as the rampant control of Berlin by pornographers, organized crime and drug dealers.....

The famous German Jewish homosexual sex "scientist," Magnus Hirshfeld, reported that roughly 20,000 boys and youths were prostituted to Germany’s flourishing "gay" population. (The British, qua-American homosexual icon, Christopher Isherwood blissfully said of Berlin’s 1920’s boy brothels, "Berlin is for boys...The German Boy....the Blond").

4.  Hitler And Homosexuals

In the midst of such pansexual revelry it could be argued that were Hitler a shy, retiring sort of bookworm, he might not notice the dominating homosexual sensibility and the erotic mix of sexes. However, Lively and Abrams conclude that as a young aspiring Viennese artist, Hitler would be especially familiar with the artistic homosexual fraternity for Vienna was the hub of Bohemian culture. Hitler claims to have been destitute, and in the midst of the Cabaret era, he was reduced to living in a men’s hostel for down-and outers. Both male and female prostitution were rife, the younger the better. Such a poor young artist would have met many "different" and adventurous people whose celebrity, like today, was gilded by an intimacy with homosexuality. The authors present a reasonable body of evidence to the jury of public opinion, including the possibility that Hitler earned extra cash as a youthful Viennese prostitute, serving a male clientele.

5.  Nazi Party Founded In A Gay Bar

In a fascinating read of 204 well documented pages, the authors of The Pink Swastika track down the facts behind the homosexual movement’s current claims for Nazi-victim status. Divided into seven parts, the story opens as the new Nazi party is founded in the smoky din of the Bratwurstglockl, "a tavern frequented by homosexual roughnecks and bully-boys....a gay bar," favored by Hitler’s closest comrade, Captain Ernst Rohm. Almost every biography of Hitler reports that Rohm was a flagrant homosexual and the only man Hitler called by the familiar "du."

Hitler’s beloved Storm Trooper Chief and founder of the Brown Shirts, the authors note, had a "taste for young boys." Almost as close to Hitler as Rohm was Rudolph Hess, known for his dress-up attire as "‘Black Bertha’" in the gay bars of pre-war Berlin" In fact, Mein Kampf was dedicated to Hess while Hitler was in prison. The Pink Swastika reports that Hitler was given power by a homosexual gang, a gang says Dr. Carroll Quigley, President bill Clinton’s college teacher and mentor, that subverted Germany’s free elections by underhanded and brutal strategies.

According to Quigley in Tragedy and Hope (1966) Hitler’s intimate friend, Captain Rohm and his trusted homosexual cadre of Storm Troopers staged the famed burning of the Reichstag, along with other bully-boy tactics, to frighten people into supporting the Nazi party and Hitler. For our purposes here it is useful to see what Quigley says about homosexual Nazi Storm Troopers:

Accordingly....a plot was worked out to burn the Reichstag building and blame the Communists. Most of the plotters were homosexuals and were able to persuade a degenerate moron from Holland named Van der Lubbe to go with them. After the building was set on fire, Van der Lubbe was left wandering about in it and was arrested.
This is especially interesting. The Pink Swastika addresses the many myths surrounding "The Night of the Long Knives" or the "blood purge" when supposedly only homosexuals such as Rohm were murdered by Hitler. Quigley offers another interesting insight, saying that "Most of the plotters were homosexual". He adds that many of those who knew the truth were murdered in March and April while "Most of the Nazis who were in on the plot were murdered by Goring during the "blood purge" of June 30, 1934" (emphasis added).

Also, as Lively and Abrams report, it was under Rohm and his Storm Troopers that the records and books of "the Sex Research Institute," were burned. The authors reveal that Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld, the Jewish "feminine" homosexual director of the Institute, maintained detailed records of his many court-referred sex offenders, including important Nazi rapists, and homosexual child offenders, pederasts. Quigley confirmed that Rohm and other key Nazis who knew too much about Hitler’s criminal activities were killed for allegedly plotting against Hitler.

Lively and Abrams track the role of Rohm in recruiting and training a total of roughly 2.5 to 4.5 million Storm Troopers (SA) and Gestapo (SS) compared to about 100,000 men in the regular German army. Once the SA was disbanded after the June 1934 blood purge, most of these experienced SA homosexual leaders moved into other power positions in the German military.

Salty Corner Sex Shop

COMPLETED 1 JUNE 2018

4B Po Yip Commercial Building
147 Woo Sung Street
Yau Ma Tei
Kowloon
Hong Kong
MTR: Jordan Station, Exit A

Tel: 5500 0608
Web: Salty Corner (Web Site in English and Chinese) Allows online ordering.
Opening Hours: 12:30pm - 9:30pm

Easy to get to and located close to Gong Guan Sauna, the building on Woosung Street is easy to spot.

The shop itself is very, very small but clearly laid out.  It's a hetero and homo shop.  The lone Chinese staff on duty, spoke excellent English.  He was very friendly, put no sales pressure and was open about his knowledge of the products.

We were impressed by what he told us of the differences between Fleshlight sleeves and the god-awful Japanese brands Tenga and Genmu.  He confirmed our suspicions that the internal sleeves of the Japanese products would degenerate with use and were considerably inferior to Fleshlight.  He talked about the numbers of gay guys who had switched from Jap to Fleshlight. The prices of Fleshlights were a little cheaper than those available in Wanta.  That's because Wanta's larger location in SoHo, would command a higher rent, which would then be passed on via higher consumer prices.

The shop has a small selection of cock rings and butt plugs.  The staff pointed out the advantage of paying a little more for pure stainless steel cock rings - which don't cause any allergic reactions - and the cheaper ones made of unknown metal alloys.

There is also a fair selection of underwear by Andrew Christian and Modus Vivendi. We observed that those were the brands also on sale in the now defunct shop Shop-On Us located in Gough Street, SoHo.  That was also the best shop at the time to purchase the ES and Addicted brands from Barcelona.  The staff told us that shop seems to have closed down, but was was not sure whether they were selling online.  He mentioned that Gay Retail is a risky proposition in Hong Kong because of killer rents, although he added that Salty Corner is looking to open a second retail shop.

Although the boys selection is smaller than Wanta, the prices are cheaper.  This is a shop we would drop into from time to time.
