Hi FIM
After reading your positive reviews of the Galaxy Sauna, I decided to take a look on a cold late Friday afternoon.
The place was on a block of commercial building in the busy TST area, just 50 metres from the MTR TST station exit A, you won't miss it. Since the closure of the ABC sauna, it's the only gay sauna left in the vicinity (I consider Arena too deviated from the area). The sauna was on the 5th floor and the lifts were all very busy so it could be a little embarrassing while waiting. The main entrance of the sauna was right out of the lift door and there's a button to press for the entrance to be opened from inside.
The entrance door was opened promptly and immediately after the entrance, it was the lounge and the reception was in the middle of the lounge. The receptionist was in his 60s, probably the oldest receptionist I had ever seen in gay saunas in HK, however, he was very welcoming and friendly. Seeing that I looked anxious and uncertain, he asked if I was aware that it's an all-men sauna. To be honest, at that moment I hesitated as I was so disappointed by the clientele that I saw. They were all between 50s and 70s, either chubby or out-of-shaped. However, I felt embarrassed to say no and decided to remain in order to explore more of this sauna. I was told to pay only when leaving, and the admission was $80, then I was given two bath towels.
The changing room and lockers were on the left hand side of the reception, then there's a corridor leading inside. Following the corridor, the first chamber left was a sauna, shower area and steam room. The sauna room was probably the biggest and best in HK gay saunas ( as dry saunas were too bright for actions to take place in, they were usually neglected by most gay saunas in HK). The showers were very family-styled and basic, the steam room was very dark. Back to the corridor, on the second chamber left was a TV lounge, and there was a smaller one on the side. The end of the corridor was a T junction and on both turnings were either cabins, more showers and a dark rooms.
Now back to the reception, on the right was the so called Karaoke lounge and a Majoon room on one side,smoking permitted. I was quite surprised that this place was so spacious given that it was right in the heart of TST. Given it's location, space, it could've been the biggest, busiest and best gay saunas in HK. When I was there at 6 pm I could count about 30 people inside excluding the ones playing Majoon. All but one GAM, most in their 50s-70s but there were also a few in their 40s. All out of shape. No stand-and model, all assertive, all shameless. The place soon cleared up after 7pm. There were hot drink facilities in the main lounge and the cold drinks were available from the reception on request. This place also attracted some mainland tourists.
Will I go back? Never! There's nothing wrong with the management or the staff, but its clientele. I had never seen the quality of the clientele being so consistent in any saunas in HK. Unfortunately, it's in my write-off list now.
Hope you find my review helpful.

1. >>>After reading your positive reviews of the Galaxy Sauna...<<<
Actually, FuelMix wrote it off in Galaxy Sauna 20 - although we are fully aware of its winning formula which we mentioned several times:
- Cheap entry;
- Decrepit premises;
- Lots of ugly people coming in the door;
2. Thanks for the review.
