It had been a while since FuelMix dropped into QQ Fitness, so it was clearly time for an update.  It’s location in a discreet semi-grotty building around the corner from “busy” err……..”notorious”  Wanchai park; and diagonally across the fag-favourite branch of Pacific Coffee Shop (some are known to hang there for a couple of hours), should theoretically mean QQ would have a lot going for it.

As the only 24 hour gay sauna on Hong Kong Island, entry price is competitive.  Between 11am and 8pm, it costs HK$68.00.  Thereafter, it’s HK$88.00. To put it bluntly fags, QQ Fitness and Galaxy (in Tsim Sha Tsui) are the 2 consistently cheapest saunas in town. Other saunas like Ni Chome, Double **snicker**, Hunter **pppffff…**, My Way Platinum **oh dear**, Big Top **HHmmm** and Club Houzz **can be fun or can be dead** have age-related pricing, theme pricing or time-sensitive pricing which may or may not, be cheaper than QQ Fitness at that point in time.

The initial impression of QQ on stumbling out of the lift is that of a shabby low-grade Japanese restaurant.  The front desk has cameras mounted outside, in the stairwells and in the lift.  They pretty much buzz a customer in as soon as he emerges on the 3^rd Floor.

Décor-wise, nothing has changed in QQ. The Reception area is cluttered, underwhelming and functionally necessary (where else could they place the washer and the dryer?) Get past that and the rest of the place is moderately acceptable – Jap themed and all.  What were you expecting for HK$68.00?  It’s certainly clean.  The Dark Area, video lounge and private rooms are spotless.

Like Central Escalator, QQ only has 4 private rooms.  But they have wooden doors that actually lock instead of Central Escalator’s fuck-awful plastic folding shutter doors with age-worn peep holes in them.  Further, unlike Central Escalator, QQ’s Dark Area has room enough to circulate without being freeze-dried to death courtesy of air conditioning at cryogenic temperatures.  There are also benches lining the walls where fags can use their imagination.  And if more space is required, the crawl space lower and upper video lounge is also part of the Dark Area.  Unlike, Central Escalator, there’s no thumping dance track to be heard in the Dark Area.

Aesthetically, the Wet Area in QQ remains the big disappointment. It has a grubby entrance and the ambience has a harsh, dated, industrial feel to it.  To be fair, it is clean, brightly lit and water pressure in the showers is good (unlike Central Escalator.) There is also the option of taking a private shower with a buddy in the 2 shower alcoves with the plastic curtains (unlike Central Escalator).

It’s worth pointing out that unlike Central Escalator, the Steam Room is bigger than it looks.  There’s a rectangular area at the back with benches along the walls for mingling.  The heat level is pretty strong too.

So………. why is FuelMix making comparisons with Central Escalator? A reader’s review, published as QQ Fitness 4, pointed out that white fags were showing up at QQ and stating some reasons why.  Since Central Escalator has the reputation for being the white fag’s asylum, comparisons between CE and QQ are entirely in order.

For this update, FuelMix dropped into QQ on a Friday evening at 6:30pm.  There were already 4 GWMs there in their 30s and 40s, typical of what would be found in Central Escalator. Were they hot? (C'mon fags, that's not fair.........y'all already know what FuelMix thinks of whites sexually....).  The rest of the clientele were average to fugly GAMs, age range 20s upwards, although there were 3 that were attractive and gym buffed.  Again, typical of what would be found in CE.

The white fags played with some of the chink fags.  The white fags also played with each other. The majority of GAMS kept to themselves or were sprawled out in the TV lounge watching an Oriental soap opera.

According to the guy at the Reception desk, white fags tend to show up at QQ at 3 times:

• Weekdays late in the evening about 8pm (curiously, that’s when CE is deserted);
• Friday late afternoons onwards;
• Saturdays mid afternoon onwards;

OK fags, look………..the information quoted above is hearsay.  Fags will have to reach their own conclusion as to its veracity.  No guarantees will ever be given.  All FuelMix will say is that when he was there on a Friday evening, so were the whites.  So if that's what you're into, make a decision.

(BTW if you’re hot………….depending on who’s manning Reception, you might be offered head…..)
