Fiscal Drag

Definition:  when inflation and higher earnings pull a person into a higher progressive tax bracket. From the government’s point of view, it increases tax revenues.

…….except that ain’t the tax drag that FuelMix is writing about…….

In Karachi, Pakistan, tax revenues have slumped so badly that lateral thinking kicked in.  The local government hired Drag Queens to show up at the premises of delinquent tax payers with the object of embarrassing them into coughing up the cash.  CNN reported this on 15 April 2011 in the story, Pakistan's tribe of "transgender" tax collectors.

The Drag Queens carry official government ID and strut right into the unsuspecting delinquent’s home or office.  They then break into a flamboyant lecture or a song and dance routine, all with the intent of attracting maximum attention to the hapless delinquent.  It also serves as a warning to anyone else who catches the flaming tirade, that they could be next.

FuelMix thinks this is a great idea.  A tad suicidal, but still a great idea.  Think about it.  In urban faggotry, Drag Queens have raised money for years in charity benefits held at gay bars and clubs. Why shouldn’t they be used as tax collectors?  The transition from requesting donations to demanding payment is utterly seamless for a Drag Queen whose stage persona is all about being in your face.

As Western countries inexorably go bankrupt while inflation and tax rates hike, Drag Queens might be the only ones who can say, “Show me the money”.

(So why Malaysia is sending Fem boys to "anti-gay" boot camp when they could be trained as future government employees, boggles FuelMix's pretty, but masculine, head).
