This posting is a continuation of the previous post, Passing Off 1. 

So what’s the way out of this shit? FuelMix refers fags to the writings of Deepak Chopra who suggests adopting the concept of “being defenceless”. In other words, you immediately drop your notions about yourself and your expectations about others. You simply “be”. 

So if you advertise yourself online, give an objective description of yourself and leave it at that. So the “str8 looking, str8 acting” goes, as well as “masculine” - oh yeah and “VGL”. 

FuelMix is aware that for many fags, those 3 elements are the Holy Trinity of their online profiles, but suggests that a simple step of omitting them would actually be quite liberating. 

Face it fags, you can be as “str8 looking, str8 acting”, “masculine” and “VGL” all you want. But you’re never gonna appeal to everyone. So why not start by not even attempting to appeal to anyone?

(Does that mean FuelMix will finally drop that line about his Muscled, Totally Edible Bubble Butt....?  Umm.....No).

How Vancouver's Town Planners Will Make the Gay Ghetto All New and Shiny.......And We Do Mean Shiny............

The town planners have released a draft of the Community Development Plan for Vancouver's West End, which includes the run down gay area of Davie Street.  See the report by Global News dated 7 November 2013, entitled Vancouver's West End to get makeover: more housing, more open-air plazas.

The rainbow-painted pedestrian crossing at the notorious intersection of Davie and Bute - previously well known as a meth-dealing epicentre -  is to be enhanced by adding an overhead installation.........which in the official illustration above, appears to be a.............shiny disco ball...!!!!

BBBWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......!!!!

Seriously, we're not making this shit up.

Other than some open air plazas and taller buildings on the periphery of the West End; plus the addition of landfill infill housing in the alleys which should nicely offset the dumpsters (and the drug dealing), we haven't seen anything concrete about revitalization of the actual Fagland.

We suspect that despite the PC noises, the Community Development Plan isn't about preserving the Gay Village, but rather about cramming more people into the locality. We'd predicted this years ago, pointing out that the low-grade gay retail and fast food franchises in Vancouver's Fagland, (to which one can now add druggies and the urinating homeless) were symptoms of an economically crippled demographic which in the long term, was unsustainable. The West End in general, also has a large elderly and transient student population who do not have economic power.

The urban creep westwards from Yaletown (large chunks of which were developed by a property giant originating from Asia in Very Rich Megacity) and southwards from Coal Harbour is unstoppable. We're always fascinated to hear the screeching of the local fags that "the Village" needs to be "preserved", or that "it has historical value" or that the gay identity "is intrinsic to the West End". Fair enough.  We're sure their hearts are in the right place. But it's their words that give them away. It's always about preserving the status quo - hardly ever does one hear anything about "expansion", "revitalization", "regeneration", "reinvention".  And that's not surprising. Elsewhere in this series, we've commented on the pathetic local gay culture in Vancouver of corruption, drug dealing, conflicts of interest, bad mouthing and turf protectionism.  A Fourth World, Banana Republic mentality prevails. It's not gonna change anytime soon.

If it's an overhead installation that they want at the intersection of Davie and Bute, we think it should be a pinata that would crack open every few minutes and scatter meth tablets on the delighted fags below.

No Anonymous Sex

Faggotry will tell you that "anonymous sex" is fun........and it is.  Heck there's "No Strings Attached", find a hottie, do him, find another, do him, hit the street and make eye contact, flirt a little with that stud with the piercing eyes and that stubble........forget about him and move on.  So many men, so little time right........?

Except as usual, Faggotry is dead wrong.

There is no such thing as anonymous sex.  For one simple reason. Every fag has a mind.  It consists of the Conscious Mind, the Subconscious Mind and the Superconscious Mind.

• The Conscious Mind is where you operate on a daily basis. It gets you from A to B, allows you to multi-task and keeps you functionally aware of your surroundings;
• The Subconscious  Mind tracks the mental chatter from your Conscious Mind, stores all your memories - picked up consciously or unconsciously - however fleeting, however sublime, however traumatic, however subliminal;
• The Superconscious Mind is your connection to spirituality and the divine;

So fag......the FULL MEMORY of every casual sexual encounter you've EVER had or wished you had from:

• cruising on the street 
• cruising in the malls
• cruising in the public toilets, where they were and what they smelled like
• cruising in the gym checking out all those guys
• cruising in the locker room, the exact layout and who was in the showers
• exactly what every guy looked like, what he wore, his body type, the tone of his voice
• the cologne that hot guy with the hairy legs wore when he smiled at you
• eye contact in the street with a passing hottie
• every gay bar and sauna you ever went to in the world and when
• each and every guy you played with - or rejected - in the sauna
• the colour and style of each guy's underwear when he was undressing
• the touch of every man you've ever been close to
• admiring that stud's cheekbones
• fantasizing about that bulge in his jeans
• your body language in the gay bar when you were sitting next to that hottie
• every location you've ever had sex in, how you got there, how long it lasted
• every position you fucked in or got sucked in
• how many times you shot your load
• what was said in the heat of the moment
• exactly where you shot your load on him or in him
• every phone number or email scribbled on scrap paper which you lost
• every name of every guy you can't recall
• every false name you used and to whom
• every gay lies you ever told to every gay man you met
• every porn site and every porn vignette you've ever watched
• every porn mag you've every read
• every masturbatory fantasy you've ever had
• every encounter on a gay chat line or message board - verbatim
• every gay ad you put up and when and where - verbatim
• every gay date you went on, with whom and where, what you ate, drank and what was said, what was done
• everyone you've spoken to on Grindr whether to hook up or bitch
• every yearning you've had for that man who was out of reach
• every straight man you wanted to seduce or did
• every bromance you wanted or had.........
• every gay heartbreak when he didn't call, when he didn't show up, when he lied, when he broke up, when he introduced you to the guy he's now sleeping with.........

.......is neatly stored in the Subconscious Mind awaiting recall sometimes through hypnosis, sometimes through meditation and silence.

There is no such thing as Casual or Anonymous Sex.  There never will be.

Every encounter has a string attached.  It's called Subconscious Memory.

And that Subconscious Memory of every gay encounter, drives a gay man's conscious behaviour to every present and future gay encounter more that he'll ever know - and more than Faggotry will ever tell him.

And that's the Truth.

The Undisputed Facts

Back in the late 1990s, a young, white, 21 year old gay guy named Matthew Shepard met up with 2 other young, white guys in a bar in God's Own Country. Shortly afterwards, he was found near a fence in a remote area, severely beaten.  He died.

The apparent circumstances of his death received massive media coverage, particularly in the West. His picture was everywhere. His funeral was broadcast live.  There was no shortage of expressions of revulsion and sadness.  The 2 other young white guys were caught, tried and sentenced to life imprisonment.


The Legacy

Posthumously, Matthew became a gay icon. His name was invoked for everything from  pleas for increased tolerance for gays, to the protection of gays from "hate crimes",  to the right of gays to carry weapons. It was said he would never be forgotten. A Foundation was created in his name, plays were performed on Broadway.

His place in gay history was assured. The facts were set in stone.

Or were they............?


Not Quite The Gay Bashing......? 

After 13 years of investigation, including interviews with Matthew's killers, a gay journalist saw a different story emerging........ 

“When you cast a play in hell – and methamphetamine is hell..........you’re not going to get angels for actors.”

The gist appears to be that Matthew was a known meth dealer and that he and both of his assailants were heavily involved in the crystal meth sub-culture in that locality. One of his assailants who was also Matthew's casual ex-BF, was heavily in debt and strung out on a week-long meth binge before and during the attack.

In order to get out of debt, the plan was to get Matthew to disclose the whereabouts of a shipment of meth that was coming in, steal it and sell it. They intended to beat it out of Matthew, but things turned fatal as a result of the meth binge that at least one of them was on.

According to the investigating journalist, this was no gay hate crime in which the 2 "str8" assailants allegedly overreacted - the so called "gay panic" -  to sexual advances from a gay guy.  One of the assailants admitted in prison that the "gay panic" defence was a sham intended to protect their drug contacts.

For the record, this blog takes no position on the veracity of these new allegations.  Instead, it focuses on the impact that new allegations would have on Faggotry and its enablers.


Faggotry Screaming "WTF.....???!!"

To say that the revelations of a gay journalist re-examining such a tragic gay yet hallowed story, were unwelcome to Faggotry and its enablers, would be an understatement.  The shrieks of outrage have already started.

And it's not hard to see why.......

1.   Financial Damage

In our post, Gay Pop Fadeout 2, we wrote about the multi-billion dollar media campaign which started in the 1990s to rehabilitate the image of gay men.  Matthew's killing in 1998 was the perfect catalyst for that strategy.  Any suggestion that he was something more than a cute gay kid killed in a hate crime, is inconvenient and damages the financial Return On Investment expected from such a massive campaign of media rehabilitation.


2.   Denial or Silence of Gay Men's Drug Use

A very, very touchy subject for Faggotry because, on many levels, they enable and encourage rampant drug use.  It's all swept under the carpet with friendly terms like, "recreational drug user" and "Party and Play", but the pervasive reality is all too sordid.  When an iconic gay murder is tainted with revelations of meth use and trafficking, both from the deceased and his assailants well.........for starters, the Broadway play would have to be re-written........


3.   A Wrench in the Engine of Faggotry

In our post, Armed And Queer, we set out the Engine of Faggotry as we see it:

• Gays have always been oppressed
• Gays are a subculture
• Gays must be political activists
• Gays must fight for their community
• Gays must fight for legislation 
• Gays must fight for health care
• Gays must fight to gain mainstream acceptance 
• Gays must fight personal and professional discrimination
• Gays must fight hate and homophobia
• Gays must fight slurs and stereotypes
• Gays must fight for respect
• Gays must fight for equality
• Gays must fight for their rights
• Gays must fight to be vigilant
• Gays must fight to marry
• Gays must fight for their lives

See the pattern ....? Faggotry cannot function without a posture of aggression.  Everything has to be ramped up at shrieking decibel levels.  They're not called Flaming Queens for nothing.

We'll leave it to others to debate whether ramping is effective or necessary, but it's clear that this is a chronic feature of Faggotry. Every issue is presented as an existential threat.  The corollary is that any questioning or  disagreement - whether by str8s or thinking gay men - usually gets them branded "homophobic".

Readers will notice that the bullet points above, operate as a self-perpetuating Feedback Loop. Reach the bottom of the list and start from the top again, ad infinitum. This is the engine of Faggotry.

The new revelations about Matthew's murder bring this Engine of Faggotry to a grinding halt. If true, these new revelations would mean:

• that his murder could not be used to power the Engine of Faggotry;
• that every issue could not be portrayed as an existential threat;
• that Faggory's slogan, "gays are the new blacks" isn't so much about oppression, but rather that gays and blacks are drug dealers and users;
• that Faggotry had engaged in a major misrepresentation by insisting and / or controlling the media that this murder could only have been a hate crime.  In other words, the Political Correctness which Faggotry demands was a con.
• that the "gay grievance" industry which Faggotry has patented, has no merit. Therefore, a shrieking minority have no right or legitimacy to impose their will on the majority - or on independently thinking gay men.
• Hate crime legislation (introduced courtesy of intense gay lobbying) would be rolled back;

4.   Where's The Money Coming From.....?

Keeping the Engine of Faggotry - the "gay grievance" industry - running, costs money:

• It requires an irritating posse of righteous, self-appointed "activists" with political and media connections to shriek soundbites as and when required;
• It requires constant political lobbying, threats, intimidation, boycotts, moral indignation, outrage;
• It requires the formulation of a stifling, politically correct curriculum that is imposed on schools, society, corporations and the media - all in the names of "tolerance" and "encouraging diversity";
• It requires "surveillance", "monitoring" and "watchdogs" -  all the characteristics found in a totalitarian state;

We suspect that many Faggotry "activists" are left-leaning, socialists. If they're not sucking cash from the government nipple, then their organizations will require tax-exempt or charitable status. In either case, they'll still need to hit their constituents (other fags, sympathizers and rich donors) for cash.

If an iconic gay murder is questioned with revelations of a totally different reason for the killing, it shatters the credibility of those organizations balls-deep in the "gay grievance" industry...... whose agenda could then be rightly described as disingenuous and self-serving.

As more people question the official story of Matthew's death, the finances of gay advocacy entities will take a hit.  It's not surprising that these organizations are attempting to squelch the authenticity of new revelations - including attacking the gay journalist. We just don't buy into this notion that they are "protecting" Matthew's memory:

• First, they need to protect themselves financially; 
• Second, they need to keep their credibility; 
• Third, they need to keep their shrieking "relevance";
• Fourth is everything else
• Fifth.....the notion that a new definition of "Gay Pride" might include owning up to mistakes in facts, or that they were too zealous in rushing to judgment and molding the facts to fit a preferred crime - (before a trial -) just doesn't compute;

5.   Faggotry On The Edge of a Nervous Breakdown

In our post, Gay Pop Fadeout 2, we said this:

"..... In 50 years, gays have morphed from a culture of defiant creation to a culture of political sycophants and suppression - both of themselves and the population at large. It's stunning to observe the near-universal outwardly Liberal leanings of these groups, combined with an entitlement mentality, near-Fascist zeal to outlaw candid expression and enquiry. "

We will simply predict that more fags will finally make that transition to the independently thinking gay man who demands candid expression and enquiry.  It's inevitable.  We are living in fast changing times. True freedom for the gay man means the right to question the gay gospel on all fronts. That is a direct threat to Faggotry.

6.   Say "Hi!" to the Apocalypse

We've said it before that we are living in the times of the Apocalypse, the true meaning of which is, that which was hidden is now revealed. We're seeing it everywhere and you can bet there will be more revelations to come from all over the place.

Seen in that context, an alternative scenario for Matthew's murder makes perfect sense.  We're not taking sides.  We're just not surprised that revelations that cast doubt on the accepted version of events, showed up - right on schedule.

Now the ball is in Faggotry's court:  was Matthew's case iconic or ironic.......??

Genuine Fakes

Anyone who’s experienced Political Correctness will know the sanitizing effect it has on the nuance, force, richness and beauty of language.  An imposed style of expression that is not supposed to offend anyone, ends up pleasing no one.  Regular readers of our blog will know exactly what we think of Political Correctness.

But PC has gone further than mere words.  It extends to actions and concepts.  So a situation is called “challenging” rather than “shitty”, an employee’s performance is “sub-optimal” instead of "lazy" or "sloppy",  an out of work guy is “in between jobs”,  the routine sending of an e-mail or making a phone call is “reaching out”.  And on it goes.  

It's no secret to assert that much of this PC originates from 2 places in the West - God's Own Country and its bitch, The Nanny Kingdom.  And a lot of it is being fed by gay activists.


Going Politically Correct with "authentic"

The latest concept to be hit with PC is the word, “authentic” as it describes a person. Originally, the word described someone who behaved impeccably, genuinely and from an internal space of personal truth.  Now, courtesy of image consultants and spin doctors, it has morphed  into an engineered, crafted veneer of credibility calculated to exploit others.


Fags Being "authentic" Online 

Fags are masters at this one. The seemingly genuine online ads are nothing more than bait to massage the fag’s ego or his cock.  The degree of fakery is pervasive, but it looks and seems real.

Even former Pope Benny was concerned about online behaviour which:

“inevitably poses questions not only of how to act properly, but also about the authenticity of one’s own being…………There is the challenge to be authentic and faithful, and not give in to the illusion of constructing an artificial public profile for oneself.”

Heh…….tell that one to the Grindr fags, the Gaydar fags, the Craigslist fags the.....[insert online site or mobile hookup app of your choice....]. They’ll just snicker and say that’s how it’s done all the time.  

Then they’ll bitch and whine that they never get action online.  But they always come back to haunt the same sites, reading the newest ads, putting out and getting suckered into bait.  Benny has a good point.  The lack of authenticity is a lack of internal congruency, a fundamental hypocrisy that drives behaviour.


Online "authenticity" and Narcissism

Furthermore, the hypocrisy, fuelled by peer pressure and technology, seems to give rise to a rampant narcissism. Think of all those gay sites, or musclejock vanity sites where viewers aching for a connection or a private webcam show, or a hookup, get to award roses or hearts or dicks to the hottest guys........

Then check this out from an article we had been holding in reserve because we knew sooner or later, we would have to update this post:

 "On Facebook, young people can fool themselves into thinking they have hundreds or thousands of “friends.” They can delete unflattering comments. They can block anyone who disagrees with them or pokes holes in their inflated self-esteem. They can choose to show the world only flattering, sexy or funny photographs of themselves (dozens of albums full, by the way), “speak” in pithy short posts and publicly connect to movie stars and professional athletes and musicians they “like.”

Using Twitter, young people can pretend they are worth “following,” as though they have real-life fans, when all that is really happening is the mutual fanning of false love and false fame."

Fags might argue that they’re just showing another side of themselves online and that they’re completely authentic.  We suspect that what they’re actually saying is that a chunk of themselves is a Natural Born Liar in dire need of validation.  Nothing wrong with that except:

• Many cross that line between Natural Born Liar and Pathological Lying and may not be consciously aware of it.  Online and Real Life behaviour blurs.
• How can a fag be genuinely showing his lying side while simultaneously claiming that as hard as he tries online, he just can’t get a hookup?  It doesn’t make any sense yet.......that's the reality of his online life.

Faggotry, Political Correctness and "Authenticity"

As an institution, Faggotry is real big on Political Correctness too – and has a ready-made squad of Gay Nazis to enforce it via activism, shrieks of outrage, consumer and media boycotts.

It makes all the right noises to be perceived as “authentic”.  So, “the community” to which every fag is deemed to belong and asked to “support” is described as “inclusive” and "diverse".  We don't recall being asked, or agreeing to, be included as part of "GLBT".

The teeth-whitened Mr Gay Whatever goes on a roving mission to promote "understanding and tolerance" of Faggotry.  The inconvenient truth that the Rainbow Flag doesn’t contain the colours Black or Brown and the rampant racism within Faggotry, is carefully smoothed over.  Same goes for outrageous drug use, the social and sexual marginalization of the ageing fag, or the large numbers of fags who are Right Wing Capitalists instead of the PC-mandated Socialists, or those fags who couldn’t give a shit about Pride or the latest charity benefit that will, (to quote Pope Benny) boost the "artificial public profile" of its sponsors.

Heck, even being publicly Outed, is now a potentially lucrative exercise in groomed authenticity.  We've written about that in our post, Is Out In ? (.......and yeah, we're gonna be updating that one too......).

Poppers: the Asset Bubble (that just burst...)

Scanning the financial media for signs that the New-Normal, Grossly Inflated, Asset Bubble generated by endless rounds of overt and covert Quantitative Easing, was headed for a collapse........little did we realize that the harbinger of an Asset Bubble collapse would occur in God's Meth Lab in general, or that unflushed toilet on the West Coast that bills itself as World Class City, in particular.

We had previously alluded in this blog that the 4 classes of assets held by fags were:

1. chems
2. toys
3. porn
4. underwear

A reader in Vancouver informed us that Priape, a Canadian gay retailer, (its name, incidentally, is related to the medical term priapism which means an erection that just won't quit and needs medical attention) shut down its stores in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.  Apparently they had rather a lot of debt which had been accruing well before the start of the Pride season in June 2013.

The publicly stated reason for the closure of the stores, is the warning against the sale and distribution of alkyl nitrites a.k.a. Poppers, issued by Health Canada in June 2013 just before the Pride season. It turns on the technical distinction between a narcotic and a drug. Whilst possession of alkyl nitrites is not illegal, Poppers are considered a drug whose sale is regulated by law. Unauthorized sales are punishable by jail and a fine.

Anyone who's studied business knows that it's not unusual for a company to have either roaring sales volume on one of its products, or a highly profitable product - just before it collapses. Apparently the latter was the case for Priape where, as can be seen from the quote above, the sales of Poppers were the most profitable item.

Read that last line again, fags.

Nationwide, across God's Meth Lab, Poppers kept this store afloat compared to its other product lines of toys, porn, clothes and leather. 

What does THAT tell you about the demographics and purchasing habits of fags in God's Meth Lab.......?

That's right......drug-fucked white trash.

And that's the scientific term.

We were absolutely right in identifying chems as one of the major "asset" classes for a fag's disposable income.

We're told from our source in Vancouver, that there's no shortage of online wailing and gnashing of teeth bemoaning yet another retail loss to "the community" (the-sort-of-2-blocks of it shared with the homeless, dollar stores, Starbucks and junk food franchises).  Typical. Gotta ramp up the drama.

We think it's not so much the "loss" to "the community" as it is the realization that, (unless one is in the pharmaceutical industry), chemically driven retail in a low-grade (c'mon dude, you've seen the pictures of Davie Street in this series), socially inept locale is not a sustainable business model.

Which got us thinking........all these "recreational drug users" (their PC term for what FuelMix alleges are part-time addicts) showing up to buy little bottles of Poppers that generated tremendous profitability and which by law are a drug........kinda makes a retailer look like a dealer.

Bottom Line: It was a drug bust AND a debt shutdown.

Hey FuelMix

Went to Alexander on Saturday 19 October 2013 about 7pm.  Whoa.........it was PACKED  I'd never seen anything like it so early on a Saturday evening. According to the Reception staff, there were 110 people there.....!!! They were limiting fresh towel changes to no more than 3 per person. God knows when it started to fill up coz the guys had  been there for a while, so I'm guessing it must have started filling a few hours before then.

Seriously FuelMix, it was wall to wall packed. There wasn't space anywhere.  The hot tub at one point had 19 guys in it...!! They were sitting cross-legged or standing because it was so full. Same with the Steam Room.  U just couldn't move inside it.  There were people lining up to use the showers.

In the Dark Area, all the rooms were occupied, and there were crowds milling around.

The customers were mainly GAMs.  The majority were Mainland Chinese.  Not good looking and not good bodies and tons of attitude.  It was pissing off the local GAMs. It seems that these Mainlanders think they have some "superiority" idea.  There were also foreigners there, both white and other races. Some of the foreign guys were pretty hot and one of them had a really nice face and body and got a lot of attention.  I also chatted to a Japanese guy there and 2 Korean tourists and some white guys visiting from Bangkok.  I had some fun with a GWM and a local cute guy so not complaining.

It was really really busy although most of  the guys were not good looking and since they were mainly Mainland Chinese with a lot of attitude the local guys left them alone to play with each other or with the foreigners.

Oh yeah.....they had decorated the place for Halloween.

I stayed for about 3 hours. More guys were coming in as I left so I think the place was crowded all nite.

That is my report. You can publish it if you like. I hope you believe me when I say the place was really full.

Marks Of Regret

Back in 2009, we alerted our readers to reports that a growing number of men and women were having their tatoos removed. See here.

It would appear that the body branding that was done in their 20s and 30s just doesn't look so good with the onset of middle age flab or post-child bearing body changes.

Heh......FuelMix has never hidden his derision of the tattooed demographic, especially fags who seem to have embraced it as compulsory body livery. Not only does FuelMix sexually shun the tattooed fag, but has noted with annoyance the near ubiquitous appearance of massively tattooed ugly dudes in gay porn. Now we know why they're called "blue movies".

(FuelMix only respects tattoos if they are an integral, historical part of the culture, for example in the Polynesians and Maoris of the South Pacific).

OK readers......we're gonna fulminate here........an urban fag with a tattoo is a fag who made a bad decision on the use of his (frequently debt-encumbered) income. And just how the hell is he supposed to stand out if every other fag has done the same thing? Typical of fags, much of what they do, is a zero sum game. Just how many crowns of thorns on the biceps are we supposed to ogle? If the intent was individuality, the result was utterly forgettable anonymity - and a distinct drop in male sexual charisma.

It will be interesting to see how many fags get their carnal artwork removed by laser, or stubbornly cling to it as they age, wilt and wither.

FuelMix has always suspected that the massive surge of tattoo parlours over the last few years, was actually an orchestrated experiment in social engineering. Why for example, are convicted felons in the West being taught to become tattoo artists, so that they will have a vocation upon their release? Historically, prisoners are the first line of attack in a campaign of social engineering (and are frequently used as guinea pigs).

Think about it. If the great unwashed public and fags can be enticed to believe that coloured dye and ugly patterns injected and carved into their skin are highly fashionable, they're less likely in the future, to resist having an RFID chip implanted under their skin for constant surveillance. There are governments out there just salivating at that prospect.  We suspect it has already been done.

And an RFID chip is smaller than a grain of rice - and getting smaller all the time. So small that it could easily be injected via a tattoo needle.

The question is..........will the fag know about it?  Will the fag even know or care that he's just a pawn in a massive social surveillance exercise?  Or will the fag be too busy squealing with delight at that crown of thorns on his other bicep?

Remember readers........we are living in the foretold times of the Apocalypse, the true meaning of which, is that which was hidden, is now revealed.

And there's a lot that's been hidden, that's being revealed these days...........

Dragging It Out

An urban myth of Faggotry is that when a fag comes Out, it's a sort of one-time event, with the occasional sequel. There may be some tears and anguish but...... (gay or at least androgynous) angels will sing, trumpets will sound, gods in heaven will smile......everyone will be (or is supposed to be) supportive.

Wrong.

It's a continuing, never-ending, constantly refining, constantly redefining and a fuckin'-pain-in-the-ass process. And it ain't tinged with no Seasonal, "....behold I bring you tidings of great joy....." shit.

Best as FuelMix can tell, an independently thinking gay man, inclined towards a degree of self-realization, would contemplate the pros and cons of Coming Out on 6 different levels: 

1.  Coming Out To Yourself -

• nerve wracking; 
• angst-ridden; 
• sleepless nights; 
• guilt; 
• shame; 
• pain; 
• anger; 
• rage; 
• resolution; 
• acceptance; 
• relief; 
• resolve

2.  Coming Out To Family - all of the above PLUS

• threat of, or actual rejection or alienation (total or partial); 
• increased pressure and risk where wife and kids are involved; 
• threat of, or actual Outing forcing premature disclosure; 
• threat of, or actual violence forcing third party intervention;

3.  Coming Out To Friends - all of the above PLUS

• risk of change in the dynamics of social bonding; 
• str8 married men more guarded or uncomfortable in potentially sexual scenarios; 
• friends' kids told to stay away; 
• raging rumours; 
• unspoken rejection or just fading away from your circle;

4.  Coming Out To Colleagues  - all of the above PLUS

• risk of career sabotage (self-inflicted or executed via office politics); 
• latent paranoia; 
• emergency corporate adaptation of Politically Correct behaviour to accommodate "minorities";

Hey FuelMix

So after dinner in the TST area on a Saturday nite I thought whether I should go to a sauna or to that Wally Matt Bar off Austin Road. Both were nearby but since I didn't feel like drinking,  I decided to go to The Great figuring a Saturday nite crowd might have some potential.  Got there about 11:30pm.

Big Mistake............

About 9 guys there all GAMs with lousy bodies and looks. Sort of in the 20 to 30 something range but really not attractive.

Around midnite some more GAM guys started coming in, all in that age range. One thing that I should point out is that many of the guys who were there before and after midnite had come with a buddy.  They'd hook up together then leave.

This place is really depressing.  Although I left less than an hour later, there were about 18 people there - and more coming in with a buddy - the guys there were not attractive.

I guess they have found their niche market i.e. ugly GAM goes in with another ugly GAM buddy.   I guess they use it like a Love Hotel and stay a couple of hours or more for about HK$140.00.

Ticket To Ride

With the economy in God’s Own Country in recession for 5 years and counting, the average citizen of that promised land is finding that being jobless, homeless, financially clueless, fucked by the banksters on Fraud Street, steeped in consumer debt, and having his personal liberties reduced, is no fun. Small wonder that there has been an increase in those seeking to renounce their citizenship.

To add to these qualifications, a study called Program For The Assessment of Adult Competencies recently released the results of a global survey.  It wasn't pretty for the citizens of God's Own Country.  A report in the New York Post dated 8 October 2013 entitled, US adults are dumber than the average human sets out the story.

That got FuelMix thinking. If the average hetero was so fukked, how would the ghetto fag in God’s Own Country be faring considering that (notwithstanding a college education), his job skills are usually lower, his drug costs (prescription and street) are higher, his rent is overdue, his roommate bailed on him and took his stereo, plus he’s living in a demographic of drug-fucked chronic underachievers and emotional cripples. 

So FuelMix visited Craigslist, one of whose functions is that of a social barometer for the desperate. Looking at the M2M pages of different cities around the world, a pattern emerged. 

Fags from God’s Own Country were advertising in large overseas cities in Europe, The Middle East and Asia. The ads fit a pattern:

• How much fag loved the local culture in that city;

• How fag would just love to relocate there;

• What fag looked like, sometimes with pic

• Fag was looking for an older, well established man;

• Euphemistic phrases about how fag intended to be totally financed;

• Fag was eager to learn and had a college education;

• No mention of fag’s intention to work;

• Zero mention of fag’s drug use;

• Vague notions of what fag would “contribute” to the arrangement;

• Assurances that fag was not an “escort” but that certain freedoms would be required;

Now, FuelMix has nothing against an individual’s attempt to better their lot in life. What is depressingly pathetic is the fag’s blithe importation of his ghetto standards from one (poorer) jurisdiction to another (richer) one and to think that nobody would notice. 

Listen up. There’s currently no shortage of (predominantly white) broke-ass fags clamouring for a foreigner (white or otherwise) to pull them out of the shit that many, by their own political choices (you get the government you deserve), financial choices (you thought low interest debt was cheap....???!!) apathy and ineptitude, created for themselves and for which they now seek to blame “the economy”, "the government", "the politicians", "the Asians" or whoever.

The corollary is that from the foreigner’s point of view, browsing for a (white) Toy Boy is a Buyer’s Market - and will be for sometime.

That’s right, fags. You think some rich Arab or megabucks chink or cosmopolitan European exec is gonna salivate when he sees ads from you with the bullet-point criteria set out above....?  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA …..!!!

You think FuelMix is making this up or being a bit harsh.....? Check out an actual example from Craigslist below where we would suggest the fag has completely mis-read his older, more sophisticated target audience.  FuelMix’s editorial comments are in bold red italics.

The easiest way of finding this shop is to walk along Gough Street and look UP.  There's a window display of mens T-shirts, shorts and sportswear. The entrance to the building is via an alley (there's an arrow under the shop window pointing to the alley).  Take the stairs to the Mezzanine Floor and enter the shop via the glass door.

It's a compact shop, well lit and with an easy layout.  The clothing stock is underwear, jocks, swimwear, shorts, T-shirts and tank tops -  for the in shape gay guy (or guys who want some body conscious street cred). It's not a shop for chubs or fatties or bears. Period.

Best as we can tell, they have three main brands on offer:

• New Urban Male - from Singapore;
• ES - from Barcelona;
• Andrew Christian - from Los Angeles;
• (Then there's also some stuff from Addicted, Marcuse, Modus Vivendi, C-IN2);

Prices are slightly higher than average - we've noticed that about gay clothing shops. Fortunately, the quality ain't bad. FuelMix particuarly liked - and **cough** looks good in **cough** ES and Andrew Christian.

The staff on duty when we dropped in (Friday afternoon) spoke passable English, and knew their product lines. They were helpful on sizing and allowed us to try on a range of stuff without hassling us to buy.

We're not sure why Andrew Christian exhorts its customers to change their underwear every 6 months. We hope it's not a reflection of their quality.  It reminded us of our post on how underwear sales in North America are a reflection of the state of the economy. See what we wrote in The State of My Pouch that was re-published on 29 August 2013. You'll love it.

To our international readers, the staff pointed out that they have a website and they ship worldwide. We had a look. The website is clear and uncomplicated. The photos are sharp and sizings appear easy to find. The currency converter is a useful tool.

We ended up buying a couple of things and will probably drop into this place from time to time.

Did FuelMix mention that he looks good in ES and Andrew Christian.......? Oh.....he did.


The Shopping Bag

A glossy, high resolution, black and white, double sided photograph of a naked hunk. Waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy hotter than the B&W torso shots of Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister.  It totally attracts attention on the street and knowing glances from those who know..........strut baby, strut, you might make a new friend. We did..........

And the bag totally rocks on the MTR.......heh heh heh heh........women will ogle and pretend not to look, str8 guys will squirm, avert their eyes and then look again, gym jocks will stare, and we swear that one teenager got a boner.  We suspect a whole new generation of young guys going gay just by looking at the shopping bag.

This bag can convert someone faster than 2 Mormon missionaries in their 20s.

Hey FuelMix

A quick update on CE. Dropped in early Monday evening, Tuesday was a public holiday so thought maybe there would be an interesting crowd ........NOT.

A small group of average GWMs and some GAMS including one bragging that he has no trouble getting into Hutong and he prefers to go there. He was nothing to look at either.  Was surprised that even though the next day was a public holiday there wasn't much to choose from and few people there.

It's well known that CE empties  by about 7pm.  A black tourist came in at that time as the leftover customers were leaving.  The staff were fawning all over him, showing him where everything was - but not telling him that he'd pretty much have the whole place to himself.  I felt sorry for this guy since he'd already paid.

I just think it's so unethical that the staff won't tell the truth and say the place is dead after 7pm and suggesting he come back earlier - or suggest another sauna that is busier in the evenings like Alexander or whatever.

The simple act of giving him his cash back and directing him elsewhere, would build up a ton of goodwill for them. Instead they just took the cash and said nothing.

Yeah agreed.  The only time FuelMix was impressed by sauna staff ethics was in Action where the staff politely told him that it was dead at the moment (a weekday evening), declined to take his money and directed him to My Way or Alexander.

False Impressions About HIV

A reader here in Very Rich Megacity drew our attention to a Letter to the Editor that appeared in the South China Morning Post on 9 September 2013.

The letter is set out in full below, with underlining by FuelMix:

Creating false impressions about HIV

Peter Shek ("Critics of gays should be free to speak out", September 4) is right that we need honesty and openness about the health problems facing people in Hong Kong.

However, some of his comments on HIV could create false impressions.

It is correct that new HIV infections in homosexual men are the biggest issue on HIV infection right now. However, until 2005, heterosexual infection for HIV was the biggest problem here and right now people of all sexualities are still being infected. Since the first case of HIV in Hong Kong, 2,446 cases of HIV have come about through heterosexual contact, compared with 1,836 due to homosexual contact.

If heterosexuals falsely think this is only a problem facing gay people, this will be very dangerous and we will see the infection spread even faster.

This is why Aids Concern currently has television advertising targeting heterosexual men, encouraging them to get tested if they are concerned about their HIV risk.

It is also ignorant to say that HIV is about sexuality as it wrongly assumes that there are single groups of people who all behave the same.

Many homosexual men who adopt safer sex and avoid risky sexual behaviour are at no more real risk of contracting HIV than heterosexuals.

Let's put a stop to all sexually transmitted infections for all people.

Gay Fiction Writer

A reader in San Francisco informed us that he had also created a blog. He is writing an online novel. It's a murder mystery of the homeless in San Francisco. The main character is an Eurasian gay guy, named Walker Lincoln, who speaks Cantonese. He works as a paralegal in a small Cantonese law firm in San Francisco and found himself sucked in to this murder mystery following the death of a young white guy who had picked him up in a gay bar.
