I’ve been to Hong Kong for the first time last week and while researching the web on which sauna to go to in HK, I came across your blog. This is well written and great stuff – congratulations.

I’m a GWM from Germany, 41 years old, regular in the gym, so I guess I’m in quite good shape.

After reading some of the reviews and considering the fact that I like Asian muscle boys, I thought let’s try Hutong Sauna as the re-incarnated Double.

I went on a Friday evening around 10 pm. The place is quite hard to find (especially for a European tourist), the entrance is on Fife street, there is a bell with a camera on the door outside.

I had to pay HKG 138 and they let me in without a problem. The locker area is quite small, but I think this is normal for HK saunas. The place was packed; I’d say at least 50-70 guys there. Mostly Asians, mostly locals but also some tourists (met an Asian guy from US, later when I left spotted another white guy apart from me). On the same level as the lockers, there is a TV lounge with some food (bananas, tomatoes and nuts), a smoking lounge and a porn lounge. There is also an alley with private rooms which they rent out at HKG 150 per hour (I saw nobody using those).

Then you can go downstairs and there is a wet area with showers, a dry sauna, a steam room and a whirlpool. The steam sauna was too dark for my taste, but otherwise I found the wet area well designed and well-lit. I also liked the free supply of small towels to dry your feet when leaving the wet area. Everything was very new and clean and the water pressure was just fine.

Downstairs you can also find the dark area / cruising area with cabins. The dark area is quite large with many cubicles (I’d say about 20, some of them quite large and comfortable). Also plenty of supply of free condoms and lube. I found the layout and lighting really good, also in the rooms you have individual dimmable lighting to your preference.

As I said before, the place was packed, and for my taste, the guys there were amazing. Mostly Asian and younger than me (20-40), some pumped-up muscle guys, but mostly normal to lightly gym-toned bodies. I was quite popular with the crowd there and for me this was the best sauna experience in a long time (in Europe, the average age of sauna-goers is much higher and you see a lot more guys fucked up on drugs).

I thought I’d share this review with you and thus being the first to review Hutong Sauna. I loved the place - and I felt welcome as a European tourist. Maybe they still have a discriminating door policy, but I didn’t see anybody being rejected while I came or left the club.
