Aniki Spa & Club 2

A reader responded to FuelMix's questions about this gay sauna:

1. Is the place just for chinks or can anyone go?

Was there last week on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't see any non-Asians around, though I don't think they select who they let in.

2. Price?

Paid NT$500, I think that's like HK$120.

3. Decor?

Very clean, tasteful with Asian touches (like red lanterns and candles). Unlike some HK saunas that are quite ramshackle.

Shoebags are provided so dirt is not brought into the changing rooms.

4. Facilities?

You can see all the facilities on their website. 3 pools, steam, sauna (bright), theatre room, cafe, cabins. I will describe those "facilities" in details they deliberately left out... next to the changing room there is a huge black out play room with some low sofas and lounges. Action takes place here and last time someone was getting fucked and the top withdrew and offered the bottom to others...

Cabins are plentiful and you can hear lots of moaning.

5. What kind of crowd? Local? Foreign and Mixed? Body types?

The day I went they were all Asians and I think mostly locals. mostly in-shape guys and Taiwanese guys generally have bigger cocks than HK.

6. Would you go there again?

Yes. Staff were helpful and asked if it was your first time, if you looked a bit lost at the entrance.

However, the size of the place is big and you may get tired walking around and also easy to lose your target.

7. Is the place easy to find?

Not difficult if you follow their map.

FuelMix says: Very helpful, thanks. Agree with your comment that gay saunas here in Very Rich Megacity are ramshackle and, as FuelMix has pointed out, grubby. Given the glitz in the rest of VRM, why the gay saunas are entirely lacking in aesthetics and inspired design is baffling. One can only assume that high rents and slim margins are the answer.

Also interesting to point out that Aniki is part of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association. They appear to have a 3 pronged business strategy of Spa, Gay Sauna and Travel (or as FuelMix calls it "Facial,Fuck & Fly"). Not one of the saunas here in VRM has such an imaginative strategy.

In his reviews of local saunas, FuelMix wondered whether VRM had Quantity over Quality.
